I have found you can order the food from the dining area you just can't sit in the dining area.

Weird system, could you think how that could work in the Sydney F lounge, it wouldn't.

They do have a 'pleb' menu in the lounge, but I don't believe it's the same as the F menu (at least in T3). The BOS lounge last night definitely had no menu (I'm shocked I don't have food poisoning to be honest!).

As I wind up a mad 3 weeks on the road (well, for a few days again before I zoom off back to LOTFAP), I face a big dilemma I need assistance with..

A few of you know, or know of, our daughter Karen (jakplus1 on AFF) who has a Cake Decorating Business.

Karen worked with us on the help Fiji project and has just had her story (?) published in that highly respected piece of literature 'That's Life'

The story is 'I found my Fortune on Facebook. You can too.'

So we have something in common-our son was in last month's Good Food magazine with his jam recipes. Also features in the RAS recipe book.

Just saw this on FB. Are there no depths to which people will not sink? Frightening.

Is Your Prime Steak Held Together By 'Meat Glue?' - Yahoo! News

I suspect this has been going on for years now. Not sure if it's being used in Australia, though needless to say, as they say in the article, trying to detect a real, full cut to a glued steak is pretty difficult (though they probably used a very easy-to-fool cut, filet).

Some will probably say that if it tastes the same, then what's the problem.

This probably belongs in the HHonors board, but I can't find an appropriate place to put it.

Got two new HHonors cards in the mail today. No doubt it's due to my dropping my old Gold status then getting recomped up to Diamond, so I received one Diamond card and one Blue card.

The cover letter of the Blue card was very odd. It said that I've "earned" Blue status. How does one not earn Blue status if you're already in the program? Very odd choice of words.

The letter goes on to say that I'll enjoy complimentary breakfast at select brands. Which we know is, no pun intended, baloney (as so eloquently put by the host nation). It's complimentary breakfast at selected brands that already offer the feature as a standard. You don't need status for it, and you don't even need to be a member of HHonors. Dumb.

Oh, and I get to enjoy a variety of other great benefits. Gee, go get me a big reel of paper and a few pens, 'cos I don't think I can write them all down with what I have here....

The Diamond qualification letter is far more tame but direct and terse in comparison.

Expectantly awaiting Today-Tonight "expose" (sic).........

I believe WP's are not entitled to F dining at all. The dragon here did actually say 'unfortunately your status is not sufficient to join us in the F dining room, that's only available to Club and First pax'.

I've heard mixed reports about obtaining dining passes for T3. As I will be there in only a few hours, anyone got any tips on how to snag one? I don't really feel like dining out in the terminal (and I only have a £20 left).

I just went down to the Cathay Pacific F lounge in T3 and had a beef wonton noodle soup - I was really disappointed with the LHR T3 BA Lounge, especially since I'd been to the LHR T5 F BA Lounge the week before and loved it.
