I found the ditching simulator to be fun for new crewmen, the number of people who try and get out immediately after the inversion the first time is close to 100%.

So I had HUET today - there was a range of attitudes and some genuine fear from some participants but everyone got through. You're right, people do try to get out anyway they can was high. This was my second HUET, so it was actually fun - I was with a bunch of paramedics that were doing interesting things in the same cabin as me - like going over the top of each other to go out of secondary exits, leaving from the furthest exit possible, etc. It was kind of fun! Now to look at the video recordings from underwater...

This is an absolutely amazing webpage. At the bottom of the page you'll see a gray colour scroll bar that you can click to drag the images up or down. The bar will start in the middle, but I recommend you click and drag it to the complete LHS of the scale, then start moving it right, slowly.

I can't even begin to wrap my brain around this information (particularly at either end of the scale). Really puts things in perspective...

Yes, that does put your head in a bit of a spin.

I guess you could do something with life and say start from 4000BC and say go up to example 4000AD as an example and then have history events on a scale then have your life in a part of that scale, then add when you went to school or university then marriage then death, but then that puts everything into perspective so that you think the problem you might be having today is such a small part of your life.

There is an Aegis based DDG in town, the USS Halsey, wonder if they have open ship? 96 cell vertical launch system, bet she packs a punch when shes angry!

whatever he just said

So we expect some hybrid children to be born in 9 months from now

She carries up to 96 tomahawks and/or 96 VL-ASROCKs or SeaSparow SAMs that can be launched all at the same time. Caught up with an Aegis equipped ships crew in a bar in SIN a few years ago, it was an interesting night!

I think some establishments down the road from my work will be putting on extra staff for the weekend to handle the crew influx.

Hmm, considering the only place I use this identity is a linkedin account and its a false one, I have to laugh, glad I met the tough criteria:

Dear ROB R,

I am the editor-in-chief of Who's Who in the World and I am writing to remind you that this Monday, May 7, 2012 is your LAST CHANCE to accept your nomination and apply for inclusion in the forthcoming 30th Pearl Anniversary Edition.

Inclusion in Who's Who in the World is a sign of true success. The book is a global reference source relied on by universities, libraries, corporations, and governments around the world. Many people put this recognition on their résumés or CVs.

Like LinkedIn, Wikipedia, and Facebook, it costs you nothing to be included in Who's Who in the World. But unlike those resources, our books only contain biographies that meet our rigorous selection criteria (see below). Also, our books are available in print and are used by the world's most respected institutions. So among other things, Who's Who in the World provides all the benefits of high quality networking.

Please click this link to thexx_ and you will be taken to our password-protected site. The submission process takes only a few minutes, and the benefits of being included are significant.

Congratulations, once again, on being nominated!

Dear ROB R,

Doesn't it make you feel special that your alter identity is more famous than your own? :)

That was really cool, thanks for sharing :)

Easily soaked up an hour of my time and I’ve now missed dinner… saves me cooking though I suppose :D

Only about 100 minutes until the iSheep have something to bleat about ;)

You mean the Galaxy S3? Looks interesting, I realise the company is Samsung and the phone has always been 'S something' but S voice not being similar to Siri does seem a little rich. Looks nice though. Would have expected a bigger camera though. With their quest to make every device as thin as Apple, they're having to choose components carefully.

Wait, there's another coughpy Apple product i'll need to buy to be fashionable so soon..?? As long as I'm fashionable first!

No, Samsung released an update to their phone. Luckily it looks nothing like an iPhone, though the naming of some of their features is similar haha.

Why would Apple fans bleat about a product that they aren't interested in? It's another phone that has other features that will push Apple to improve their iPhone product. I see that as a good thing. However on review it doesn't exactly blow the iPhone out of the water - and it isn't available in Oz.

It looks too big for me though.

Aha! You see... it works! :p

More seriously, it's probably not you, but there seems to be a strong iFanboy sentiment out there which makes out that Apple can do no wrong and has a carte blanche on creating everything good, so stuff like this is viewed as a "fake", "copycat" or "catch-up".

I think recently a lot of people (obviously those using iDevices) got very hot under the collar and vocal when the popular app Instagram decided to branch out and support other platforms beyond iOS.
