Yes, she must. As someone that has been on the inside of the tube as well as anaesthetised countless little ones for MRI, I know how awkward it would feel. My thoughts are with you.
Gamble paid off, upgrade to J confirmed for my SIN-FRA flight. What's the chances of it being a re-fit 744 with MK II skybeds?
Little Miss is getting an MRI at the moment, and I can't be in there due to a body piercing I can't remove. Mr Katie is with her. So hard - just heard the technician ask her to be completely still to take another two minute picture. Her involuntary head nodding is why she's there ... being still is a BIG challenge!!
Why the hell can I buy a plastic garden rake for $3.50. But a new handle for my current rake is $8.98?!![]()

Thanks!Thoughts are with you all.
I booked it before I left, so a bit to deal with jet lag, but her specialist suggested it at her appt in early April, so we've known for a while. Just had to schedule it.Hope Miss M is going to be all good.
WOw a lot to deal with when just got back to Aust
It's a very pedestrian piercing. The piercer told me that every 15yo girl in Brissie was getting one (I was not 15, back in the mid 90s); I felt much less daring after that comment! And I was so tired, my piercing actually didn't stop me from going in, Little Miss chose Dad over Mum. Guess it's his turn, I was the one to see her knocked out for both surgeries she's had.Should you be sharing body piercing stories with us ?
Ps. Hope all is well
Thanks - watching loved ones go through such things is not fun.Katie, all the best to your mini and hope it all pans out! My +1 goes in for another MRI in 2 weeks, not a very fun time!
I was reassured that her specialist did not want her to have GA if she couldn't stay still. She did very well, held her Dad's hand the whole time. I was sure she wouldn't be able to be still, but I think a late Fri appt worked in our favour - she was tired & almost fell asleep at one point!Hope everything is well.
Little Miss must be a beautifully well behaved girl as the majority of Little Misses need a general anaesthetic for that investigation
Good luck, it's hard being on the outside looking in !
Thank you!From me too.

I think the cannula (sp?) was the worst part. She's got a bit of bruise in that spot on her arm.All the best to mini Katie.I empathasise.3 MRIs now and staying still with my inherited tremor really is difficult especially when continually told to keep still.
Thanks - I'm glad she didn't need to have GA, though I know there are heaps of other kids her age who've had far worse to deal with.Yes, she must. She's 5.5yo - I think having the radio on, and that she only really needed to stay still for 30-150 seconds at a time helped. I had thought she'd have to be totally still for a full 20 mins.Although it might reassure you to know that having been in there myself, apart from being bored I didn't find it particularly distressing. It's not much more claustrophobic than a Skybed. Although I don't know how young she is.
If the head movement is a big deal a light anaesthetic would solve that. Sometimes kids come back for that for better images.
She is brave, and she milked her bravery! She got about 7 stickers from the radiologist and then we went to her favourite Thai place for dinner. She asked for Cold Rock for dessert while at dinner, and I gave my usual "we'll see". She reminded me how brave she'd been during her test. She's a cunning one!Hope Little Miss is OK - she's so brave having to go through these at her age.

Did anyone see the pics in the Sunday Telegraph reported to show Grant Hackett's Melbourne apartment after a drunken rampage?

George Megalogenis in the Weekend Australian has pretty much summed up my concerns with the current political situation. We have a choice of 2 duds who "have taken the branch-stacking tactics their political generation was raised on and applied them to this parliament."
