Katie, all the best to your mini and hope it all pans out! My +1 goes in for another MRI in 2 weeks, not a very fun time!

Little Miss is getting an MRI at the moment, and I can't be in there due to a body piercing I can't remove. Mr Katie is with her. So hard - just heard the technician ask her to be completely still to take another two minute picture. Her involuntary head nodding is why she's there ... being still is a BIG challenge!!

Little Miss must be a beautifully well behaved girl as the majority of Little Misses need a general anaesthetic for that investigation

It is high turnover though, but that's not a professional problem, that's a social-moral one (how long could you do FIFO)?

I have 4 weeks sitting in a clinic waiting for patients (& reading AFF). This part really does my head in.

Then 4 weeks to forget about it and think what a great job I have.

Yes, she must. As someone that has been on the inside of the tube as well as anaesthetised countless little ones for MRI, I know how awkward it would feel. My thoughts are with you.

People in IT have been struggling to get jobs for years and we see fit to import low income labour from SE Asia as they keep telling us we are short of skilled labour. Rubbish....

I think most Australians recognise, it's not about a lack of willing locally based labour, but rather the bigger corporations using immigration laws to bring in people on 457 and MEA visas to side step local labour laws. Currently I am debating whether to apply for a 6 month contract at a lab in Mount Isa. The recruiter rightly pointed out, it's a location that doesn't lend itself to cheap flights, so I would probably have to be permanently based in Mount Isa. I even looked at where I could earn QF points on my EDR card in town. lol

20min delay now announced for my flight to Sydney.

And not a johnk to be seen at the Brisbane j lounge. Bad luck follows Sydney flights...

I think it is a JohnK thing. I was at BNE airport earlier today and most flights North were delayed or cancelled. Then got to SYD and the same story with delays and cancellations.

Amazing that my flights were on time today. Waiting for the world to collapse now....

sat next to Penny Wong a few weeks back. was second flight in a row she was on my plane. She mentioned she flew back from Canberra the night before and was on the next morning flight back. So much for carbon footprint. Thought about asking her what jobs she was going to apply for next year

As she is senator, depending on which half of the senate she sits in and also that she is mostly likely first on the senate ticket, you could have greatly embarrassed yourself if you did ask that question.

Your point would have been totally lost when she replied that she'll not be looking for any job because she'll still be in the senate.

BTW there were some pretty strong suggestions to not make certain statements in the thread and to just report the people seen. It that regard I find some of your post to be slightly inappropriate.

As I said this thread topic is not really based on opinion but more about fact. As I understand a number of these Famous people threads have been closed because they strayed into opinion about the people. The idea is to avoid a repeat of that situation.
