And in what is one of the most bizarre travel experiences i've ever had, I'm sitting quietly here in the VA lounge in MEL minding my own business and a lady starts screaming out 'COCAINE! DRUGS! MISSED CONNECTION INSURANCE! LOST LUGGAGE!' and then a few seconds later "CHOCOLATE! HAS ANYONE GOT CHOCOLATE OR ANYTHING IN THOSE SEALED THINGS'. After a little while, the police came to which she started screaming at the police "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! F$#K ME! PLEASE HAVE SEX WITH ME!' and proceeded to throw up on the floor. I'm scared to look as it would be too obvious!

What Velocity status level is required for that pre-flight 'entertainment' - bizarre!

Apparently SG is more than sufficient! I must say, it lead to some interesting conversations with people who were near her and moved over to where I was sitting! I am still laughing about it (she was clearly as high as a kite).

Is there a prize for finishing the mini bar?

Yes. A large bill at check-out ;)

It may sound like it is not in good taste but those sort of propositions would be interesting!
Well, she was not the full quid and quite clearly under the influence of something a lot stronger than alcohol or caffeine! The AFP came and they wheeled her out (in a wheel chair) the back door of the lounge quietly as to not make any further of a scene.

I did almost burst out laughing when she started screaming 'F*&K ME! PLEASE HAVE SEX WITH ME!' to the AFP. I bet they would have had a smirk too :)

The lounge staff couldn't apologise enough to me. I said 'that's ok it's Friday night entertainment' and they gave me a strange blend of 'that's funny' and 'oh wow that's not appropriate'. She had snuck in to the lounge, and was not an invited or eligible guest FWIW.

Loving the airport out here (RMA). Really new and modern, although the security machines haven't been unpacked yet!

There's also a lounge that currently unoccupied. Wishful thinking?

Came up to Noosa last night with Mrs GPH. Dinner at the spirit house (I am getting tired of the 30 minutes each way drive though) really good as usual. Hastings street at 10.30 is almost deserted!! Empty shops, 50% off sales everywhere , still a magic spot though.

Voila !! My carry-on to the LOTFAP tomorrow. Ten day trip.
For the females who are interested it contains 3 pairs of shoes, hairdryer, GHD's and enough clothes for a new outfit every day plus a couple of spares :D Weighs 7.8kg, I also have another small tote with LAG's, iPad etc.
Will of course be buying a $20 sports bag to check-in all the booty on the way back

That is a feat. I struggle to live on carry-on only at times yet I (male) only have the shoes I'm wearing and no hair dryer :). It's because I insist on carrying my SLR camera and notebook computer everywhere I go.

I heard that women will pack their own hair dryer (or more than one :!:) because of the different air strengths and heat available and presumably not trusting the one in the hotel... I suspect that's what's at work here ;)

I don't know quite how to follow that one Drewbles but I'll try ;)

My hat goes off to you, Princess Fiona.

You said you had enough for a new outfit everyday - so is that ten dresses, or a few bottoms and a few tops (enough for ten different permutations)? Plus sleepwear, exercise clothes... ?

Yes, I have at least 10 different outfits. Three dresses, 4 pairs of jeans/pants, 6 tops, 3 cardigans, 4 scarfs, two belts, shoes. Plus the outfit and heels I'm wearing to travel.
Also have swimmers, undies,PJ's, hairdryer, GHD's and non-lag make-up in there.
That little Samsonite is like the
Tardis.
I don't think I'll want to have checked luggage again

PF you are taking too many clothes ! Leave 1 dress, 2 jeans/pants, and 2 of the cardis at home ! Leaves more room for the purchases

mrs d Don't worry I'm having the checked luggage x 2 or 3 on the way back :D
I have a little side trip to Puerto Rico on arrival which mandated the carry-on from SYD ;)

I'd hazard a guess and say a status run on AA with KUPP's??

Tis what I thought, but just checking to see if maybe the 2 suitcases will be filled with shopping FROM there, or destinations after! Don't want to be going somewhere else in the Caribbean if PR is the best place to buy buy buy! :) (academic interest, you understand)

I don't plan on buying in PR, it's going to be LAS and NYC for sure.
I probably should sign off for now as I'm up to course number 4 on the tasting menu and the in-flight Wi-fi is distracting me
