I find that arrogance seemed to be a hallmark of both groups. I am glad they lost, it would have been unbearable if they had won

When I moved to Melbourne, I got told a lot about how Victorians found Eagles supporters arrogant. I struggle to see they are anymore arrogant than Geelong supporters.

Us Eagles supporters have every good reason to

3 premierships in just over 20 years, not a bad effort

They were pretty short at the start of the season, perhaps around 2/1 or 5/2 ($3 or $3.50)

Agreed. By that time, all hell breaks loose.

I can't see why people just can't suck it up and get on with their lives. At the worst, it's 40K free points for normal spending habits! FREE POINTS! What part of that don't you understand? Sure, it's only 40K. So would you like to spend $27k - $40k extra making those extra points or would you just like to get them for continuing to spend how you normally would.

Don't encourage people to use your product? You get nothing. Encourage people to use your product? Worse than nothing!

And now people are thinking of going to court over something of which they did not get cheated out of, are not out of pocket - something they would have or could have got for free - they're just not going to get as much of it. Boo hoo boo hoo sob sob sob....

Not to mention we've had the most outrageous **** slinging contest in the same thread about QFF and Amex, the semantics and fundamental underpinnings of a frequent flyer program and how to outrageously pay your council rates whilst getting your own back at the council by paying in $1.00 instalments. And so on ad nauseum.

Call me a coward for not posting this in the Amex thread, but frankly I do not want to be fire bombed for what is essentially turning into a sequitar ad nauseum. I just hope that when the board does explode on any new news we get from Amex, the moderators will be in there and on their toes ready to pounce. My advice to the mods: don't forget to bring the riot gear.

Of course we are here (and there) - I know I have read every post in that thread. serfty and I have been in there twice (in full view rather than via PM) to settle things down. Is this sort of like what you were thinking we should wear?? Personally, I like thadocta's version - particularly the Bush Fire Two Piece.
