The totally off-topic thread

Good tosee the AMEX thread has gone of on another waffle session. Still off on a tangent just a slightly different version.

The difference between the two sides all year was not a 40 point margin.
As far as I am concerned Manly were the better side all year and we are all going to have different opinions on this matter. To hide behind the decision of the grapple tackle is poor. Move on and get it out of the game. The better team won the grand final....

Whilst I agree in principle my problem is the same as serfty's in that if something is acceptable during the season it surely must be acceptable during the finals. ie the finals is not the right time to toughen up on some rule interpretations.
Why? If it is illegal stop doing it. Full stop. Do not say it was acceptable early in the year but it is not acceptable now. Sour grapes....

Anyone noticed the free falling Australian dollar I can't believe how low its got.

It dipped under 70 US Cents last night.

JohnK,

We are saying the same thing :!: If it was acceptable during the season it still should be acceptable. If it was not acceptable during the season then it should not be acceptable now. It seems the interpretation of rules changed which is what I'm criticising.

Hey I'm talking from the position of someone who has lived in WA, QLD, NSW ACT and who has no real allegiance here. Just seems to me the NRL changes things to make life easier for the SYD teams, as does the AFL for MEL teams, and that sucks.

is something my daughter would probably prefer to play with, rather than the present I just bought her that was inside it.

what a Mastercard moment...

Dont despair the aussie dollar will rise at the end of the month when i return.

NM,

It does reach a time where you need to actually put something in the box and I suspect you are at this time.
In about 12 years, an envelope containing lots of legal tender will preferred to anything in a box.

Miss grandaughter turns 16 in January and expects a little more than legal tender.Having been to NYC she feels a little blue box would be ideal.

And Mrs NM expected a little more than am empty box today for our wedding anniversary! Its a good thing I remember to pick up some flowers on my way home from a 7am hospital appointment or I would have been in a real pickle. Oh, and now I have medical evidence that, contrary to popular belief, I really do have a heart . Similarly yesterday's tests proved that I do have something between my ears :p.

But did they prove it works?
