Hmmm...yeah that's a kick in the pants. Hello QF501 at 0500h. *sigh* Which means getting up at around 0330h to make the plane.

Also makes connections difficult, e.g. BNE-SYD-ADL. To make it to ADL at around 2000h or so, one needs to leave BNE at 1500h or so.

Let's not even start toying with ex-SYD Int connections. In a lot of cases for those, it would be a lot better to stay in SYD overnight.

Traditionally in Qantas FF circles, it is bad to mention "the bus" due to some incidents a few years ago where Qantas cracked down on people travelling between remote WA mining towns on a Qantas codeshare bus. Bus will normally be changed to B*S or similar.

NM owns a bus of sorts - (as in his avatar), to cart around his family.

Maybe that explains it, maybe it doesn't. Others will most certainly add to the tale!

It would be like a debate around DJ giving away 2for 1 flights - I dont need or want DJ flights so would not care about the promo - I would also not belittle people who did care about it.

Sorry Simon the object of my post was not to belittle anyone for wanting something that was or was not explicitly promised to them. It was all about a thread that has grown beyond all comprehension going round and round in circles. You can only read the same posts so many times before giving up.

Yes I know I can ignore the thread but I am also interested in some useful information without wading through all the garble. I have also been in Thailand for 7 days now and Thai logic is similar to the Amex thread. Goes round and round in circles, commonly referred to as circular....

Anyone know who won the NRL grand final? The news in Thailand is one of the teams forfeited. I wish I had some money on the winner earlier in year. These type of results only come around once in a decade....
