World's Most Extreme Airports

(REPEAT)

  • 6.30pm - 8pm
  • Seven
  • Sunday

Most flying fears are for the aircraft, not the safety and design of the airport. However, in some places around the world, there are historical design flaws like those in Gibraltar which are now only coming to light.

Seeing this is a repeat, and not seeing it before I am hoping it is worth watching, anybody here seen this before...?

Something's wrong here...

Where can we see that decor in the VA Lounges? Unless it's a change coming up.

I visited the VA website to verify the images you saw, and Firefox's pop-up blocker told me that it had successfully stopped 11 pop-ups from appearing. What the?

Finally, I flew VA just recently in going to and from SYD, and I noticed that some of the "standard" announcements - e.g. before pushback, before landing - are now announced via a robot - i.e. a prerecorded announcement on tape - rather than "live" by the purser. Seems unusual, as I'm only really used to prerecorded announcements in countries (or flights to and from countries) where English is not a first language.

Local ALDI, BWS and WoW out of dry ginger. I have the warm weather, cucumber, lime and Pimms but no dry! :(
I couldn't be bothered driving around further so I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow.

Found out today that my first boss in Australia died suddenly aged 71, fit and healthy hard working GP in Tassie
Ours is not to reason why :(

Sad news princess
Richard was the boss in the ED at Launceston when i was an intern.
Tolerated some of my more idiotic mistakes when i was running the hospital as an intern on nights
( as one used to do!)

Google his mercury death notice
Seems he was a best friend to shrek and tasssie

These photos have been taken down and replaced with real lounge photos. So what do you think, a hacker or a disgruntled Virgin IT employee?

Unlikely to be IT. Someone accidentally uploaded photos they shouldn't into the web content database. And besides... there is nothing to say those photos weren't of a part of a virgin lounge....

What year? :p Even in the days of the old Blue Room, I haven't seen anything so shabby as the first photo, and I think I've been to them all.

For all you bachelors out there, something to think about:p:

I thought it looked quite trendy, probably not a CL-type space though.

Funny how they've disappeared now.

I've since been told one is the NZ Lounge in CHC, the other is the EY T3 Lounge in AUH.

My mum reads off a random priced fare to Singapore and another one to Kuala Lumpur. Sounds very cheap....

Me: "Who's selling?"
Mum: "Flight Centre."
Me: "<fare>. Which airline?"
Mum: "Doesn't say."
Me: "One-way or return?"
Mum: "Doesn't say."
Me: <slightly annoyed> "What travel dates?"
Mum: "Doesn't say."

I know most of us already harbour some varying degree of contempt for Flight Centre and their ethics (or rather, lack thereof).........

Haha. And for the married blokes... something to worry about.
or as my mates on marriage number 2 ( or 3) say
"just find someone you hate , have sex with them and give them a house "

it saves a whole heap of grief!

:)

C

still on marriage number 1 and planning on staying there!
