Just got stuck behind proof the Ryan Bingham is nothing except a story book character. The Asians and security myth is well and truly busted!

Even though the quote was "Bingo, Asians. They pack light, travel efficiently, and they have a thing for slip on shoes. Gotta love 'em. " the movie panned to a group of oriental businessmen.

I am still trying to work out how, ex BKK, a little old asian lady managed to get a 1 metre cube soft bag through security (and, no, she was not permitted to take it on baord!).

Coming back from overseas and I am still feeling jet lagged 5 days later, when will I be able to go to sleep and wake up at a normal hour.

Currently getting tired around 8:30 and going to be between 9 and 10pm, and then waking up at 3:00am.

I am not usually up this early in the morning, well at least there is AFF to read.

I've been a bit the same myself, up at 3.30/4am each morning and falling asleep around 7/8pm. The only thing I can put it down to... is I haven't had a single drop of drink since I left Perth.

Old age. Seriously I used to fly for 25 - 36 hours, nap in the afternoon and then be back on normal time the next day. Now it is a couple of days being all over the place. Moreso when I am on site than when I gt home. I also have most disruption when going to NZ than anywhere else.

For those who may find a shortage of chips in the F Lounge at MEL today.....I apologise! :p

oops my bad. They were oriental businessmen. I know the xray thing in ADL isn't very long but they managed to fill it up so much they had to stop screening. Then one of them had to go back out and move the baggage trolley that he'd left just outside the walk through metal detector. Might have been funny if it wasn't 5am.

Woohoo! First ever op-up! Thank you, LAN :-) might have been helpful if you had scanned BPs though, the debarcle of people in aisles as their seats were double booked was probably not the safest, since you were refuelling while boarding... And while I didn't mind being 45 mins late, since I was in J, I'm not sure everyone else agreed. Least of all the people behind me (in Y) whom I believe were denied boarding. After boarding. Erm....

I have my fingers crossed for an opup on the 12 hour flight Ecuador-Madrid...

Eat to your heart's content, though me Irish friend Mick says he's got a wife and 7 kids to feed and if you keep eating' chips he just might be over at your place with a 2-by-4 with your name on it :p

But man do I miss it :( The smell gets me when I walk into the kitchen and the guys are all pulling a coffee. Damnit!
