Ditto. But in the UK I get 1200 minutes, 1gb of data and unlimited SMS for 12 quid/month (~$20 AUD). ;)
I don't think that is limited to the UK. Almost anywhere in Europe is cheaper.

For some reason Australia is so isolated so a good excuse for all businesses to use to charge through the nose....
