The view from my "office"

I love that bridge! (OT, but I also like that backpack. Brand? Weight? Durability?)

It's an Osprey, but it's a roller, not a back pack. You can get a similar model with straps as well, but it was much heavier.

The model is Shuttle, but we have had them for about 8 years, very happy with them and they are easy to pick out on the baggage claim!

Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) C-130J Hercules conducted a flypast of over Sutherland on Friday, 8 March as part of a funeral service for veteran pilot Flying Officer Eric Barton DFC AGED 95.
IMG_7360 (2).JPG
He served as a pilot on the four-engine Avro Lancaster bomber, flying 45 missions over German Occupied Europe including Operation Manna, the mission to deliver food and supplies to relieve a famine in the Netherlands during the final days of World War Two.

During one mission against German battleships in Norway, his aircraft was damaged by anti-aircraft fire and enemy fighters. Showing great skill, FLGOFF Barton brought his aircraft and seven crew safely home with only two engines operable. For his efforts, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) by King George VI.

A lovely day for a walk down to the shop on a sunny Winter morning in London. Per my previous post, lots of flowers are out due to the earlier than usual warm weather.

In case you're wondering about the scorched earth, that's where the massive fireworks display is setup in our local area on bonfire night :)

Ha. Cheeky buggers, just saw some guys walking down our street picking a handful of flowers and leaves off of plants. I guess they're making their own bouquets....

Luang Namtha in northern Laos. First picture I bribed her by buying a bag, but she was happy to have her photo taken.

Next group were from a small village that was having a celebration of some kind, doesn't take much in Laos for people to get together and dance, eat and of course drink Beer Lao.

Last photo, the guys are playing patonk.

As far as lager goes, Beer Lao would probably have to be my favourite of all the beers I've tried around the globe!

I must admit that I am enjoying one or two, as well as some Namkhong beer, different taste, but just as good!

Photos from Nong Khiaw soon, currently looking out over the Nam Ou river from our balcony, whilst the boss is having a swim in the Mandala Ou pool!

Thanks for the recommendation FB!

No worries! I spent many hours in the pool, hanging over the edge looking out to the river.... with Beer Lao in hand :D
