On the sparrow’s UL ride DEL-CMB today. My first time on UL. The FA very kindly kept plying me with Heidsieck all the way. Brilliant priority luggage handling - a sign on the belt preceded the very neatly-placed priority bags. Mine was first out. The other bags came out quite separately later - but I was long gone

Lion Rock, Sigirya, Sri Lanka. Only four on the tour. My #1 son has joined me and the others are an Australian couple. It’s the very beginning of the season - and sadly tourist numbers in Sri Lanka are still down because of the events of last April.

Today I am in a mobile office heading east on I10 south of Houston. It warms the coughles of my heart to see such a beautiful view. (Don’t tell the climate change peeps though!!

Cycling some back roads in Sri Lanka today, stop at a home in a small village for a curry-cooking demonstration and then an array of home-prepared traditional Sri Lankan food for lunch. Son JohnM, who knows how to pack away the food, getting into it. I keep telling him he needs to build himself up...
