Friday evening, 27 October 2017 sees TT644 (1800 hours early evening ADL across to SYD that was pointing skywards at 1921) arriving at about 2127 hours, 67 late.

Meanwhile somewhat south, TT272 (1940 hours MEL up to SYD that was airborne at 2051 hours) should arrive at 2159, 54 minutes late.

On Thursday 2 November 2017, TT218 operated by A320 stalwart VH-VNP did not take off until 1031 despite the schedule calling for commencement of the journey at 0905 hours. Arrival in SYD (ex MEL) should be at about 1141 hours, 66 minutes late.

Friday 3 November sees TT251, the afternoon 1440 hours SYD down to MEL that was in the sky at 1538 (A320 VH-XUH) likely to arrive at 1658, 43 minutes behind time.

With what have been ferocious looking storms around Sydney mid morning on Monday 6 November 2017 - although the worst looks as at 1000 hours to be out to sea southeast of the airport - TT214, the 0800 hours MEL - SYD (A320 VH-VNR) that took off about 35 minutes late at 0849 has not been enjoying a good run. It initially was held northeast of Goulburn NSW, then did an unusual loop up to Hurstville and down to the Royal National Park due to arrivals being busy. It should arrive at about 1023, 53 minutes late.

TT357 (0710 hours morning BNE down to SYD, A320 VH-VNJ) took off at 0743 hours, about 209 minutes late. Arrival should be at 1039 hours, 54 minutes late.

Another MEL - SYD, the 1010 hours (TT224, A320 VH-XUH) was in the sky at 1141 hours. Predicted arrival is 1253 hours, 78 minutes late.

In the opposite direction, TT229 (1000 ex SYD that was airborne at 1127 with VH-VNR) looks to be ariving in the southern capital at 1246 hours, 71 late.

TT520 (1035 hours MEL up to BNE that took off at 1228 hours, A320 VH-VNH) is estimated to arrive in sunny Queensland's capital at 1323 hours, 93 minutes tardy.

Continuing with Monday 6 November, as at 1340 AEDT a ferocious storm looked to be moving over SYD dumping much rain - and quickly. AFF member Quickstatus suggested a few minutes previously that the 'SYD ramps' had been closed. A320 VH-VNC on the 1100 hours from ADL across to SYD, TT636 that was airborne at 1151 (about 35 late) was at 1348 hours holding above Goulburn NSW, so its arrival will not be at least until 1423, which would be 63 late.

In further on an adverse day weather-wide around Sydney, TT259 (1610 hours SYD - MEL) was originally showing as altered to depart 130 minutes late at 1820 but has now been cancelled.

Later on 6 November, TT264 (1825 hours MEL - SYD that took off at 2054 hours, B738 VH-VOY) looks set to arrive at 2202 hours, 132 late.

TT536 (A320 VH-XUH) is the 1855 hours early evening MEL up to BNE that did not point skywards until 2103. Arrival should be at around 2200 hours.

The next duty for B738 VH-VOY was TT279, the 2025 hours SYD - MEL. The aircraft commenced pushing back prior to 2256. It took off at 2259: a close run thing for the curfew.

TT376 (the afternoon 1615 hours SYD - BNE on Tuesday 7 November) has been cancelled.

The 0815 hours MEL - CNS, TT582 (A320 VH-VNF) was still queued for departure on runway 27 at 0911 hours so it will be at least half an hour late arriving in Far North Queensland.

UPDATE: TT582 was airborne at 0920 hours with at least nine other aircraft in the queue behind it.

Later on 7 November, TT394 (1015 hours morning SYD to leisure destination PPP) did not become airborne until 1339 hours. A320 VH-VNG is estimated to arrive at 1457 hours, 187 minutes behind schedule. With TT624 (SYD - OOL) arriving 75 minutes late at 2015 hours last night, the return flight TT627 was cancelled, stranding passengers overnight on the Gold Coast due to the Sydney Airport curfew. This aircraft then operated down to Sydney this morning as TT8627, taking off from OOL at 1027 and landing in SYD at 1230 this afternoon, which accounts for the three hour late TT394.

The flight crew would have had to "enjoy" the mandated overnight rest period in an hotel, so that will be why the empty ('ferry') flight this morning with the four numeral flight number could not depart any earlier than mid morning.

Continuing with 7 November 2017, a helicopter has crashed at HBA, unfortunately resulting in one fatality. The airport has been shut down. TT504 is showing as 'delayed' but perhaps it will be cancelled. This is normally a MEL-bound flight.

TT213 (0700 hours SYD - MEL on Thursday 9 November) was airborne at 0754 so arrival for A320 VH-VNB should be at about 0913 hours, 38 minutes late. JQ and VA's 0700 hours SYD - MEL flights were also about the same amount late in taking off.

TT211 (0640 hours SYD - MEL, Friday 10 November 2017, A320 VH-VND) took off at 0738 hours with arrival suggested at 0903, 48 minutes tardy.

This aircraft was next on TT700, the scheduled 0845 hours MEL up to CNS that took off at 0956 hours. It should pull in to its allocated tarmac space at 1131 hours, 51 late.

Later on 10 November, TT376 (mid afternoon 1615 hours SYD - BNE that was in the sky at 1736) should arrive at about 1807 hours, 67 late. Aircraft is A320 VH-VNJ.

TT662 (Monday 13 November 1025 hours CBR down to MEL, A320 VH-VNO) was airborne at 1110 hours. Arrival should be at 1207, 32 minutes late.

Tonights red-eye PER-SYD TT758 has been cancelled

Apparently this was due to 'regulatory reasons' according to the text a friend received who was meant to be on board.

Anyone care to shine some more light? The possibilities are rather extensive.

Must...Fly! , the inbound TT761, the 2150 hours ex SYD on Tuesday 14 November was also cancelled. TT normally only has one return flight six days a week on the SYD - PER - SYD route.

That doesn't answer your question though. TT761 was not late the previous night, and in any case the flight crew may well operate the return flights 'back to back' as they say.

Wednesday 15 November has TT700 (0905 hours MEL - CNS) suggested as departing three hours late. There is no obvious matching delayed arrival this morning.
