Later on 18 March, TT247, the scheduled 1350 hours from SYD down to windy MEL was airborne at 1504. B738 VH-VOY should arrive at about 1624 hours, 59 minutes late.

TT533 (1750 hours BNE down to MEL, 18 March, again B738 VH-VOY) took off at 1925. Its arrival is suggested as 2226 hours, 71 late. Note how it's lost a bit more time since the previous report.

Thursday 22 March sees TT256 (1645 hours MEL up to SYD that was in the sky at 1724 hours with A320 VH-VNH) suggested as arriving at 1848, 38 late.

The CNS - SYD TT679 (A320 VH-VNR) is expected to arrive at 1916, 41 late.

A320 VH-VNF on the 0910 hours Saturday 24 March 2018 CBR - MEL, TT662 took off at a much delayed 1137 hours. Arrival should be at 1239, 139 minutes behind schedule.

This is the seventh flight sector where this aircraft has been more than half an hour late arriving at where passengers alight. Overnight it ran Tt421/TT424 MEL - PER - MEL then TT663, the 0730 hours morning MEL - CBR that was airborne right on 1000. The rot had worsened because TT279 last night (SYD - MEL) was a timetabled 2200 arrival yet Tt421 is timetabled off blocks at 2145 hours, so it appears another aircraft may have failed.

TT448 (0945 hours ADL across to MEL that was in the sky at 1122 hours with VH-VNC) should arrive at 1255, 80 minutes late.

In further on 24 March, TT238, the 1310 hours early afternoon MEL: - SYD (B738 VH-XUG) took off at an extremely late 1627, about 180 minutes late.

TT409, the 1100 morning MEL - PER was in the sky at 1342 hours. A320 VH-VNF is arriving at 1446 hours, 151 minutes tardy. Note that since the previous post it has lost a little further time on this, the eighth consecutive flight sector it has been more than 30 late. Not great!

TT615, the 1300 hours from OOL down to SYD with A320 VH-VNK is badly late on Monday 26 March 2018. It was airborne at 1852 and should arrive at 2102 hours tonight, 332 minutes tardy.

The early evening 1840 hours SYD down to MEL, Tt271 with VH-VND was in the sky at 2006. Arrival is predicted for 2121 hours, 66 late.

TT705, 1755 hours CFS - MEL that took off at 1911 is arriving at 2053, a similar 58 minutes late. VH-VUB, a B738 has the job.

TT411 (Tuesday 27 March 2018, the 1405 hours MEL - PER mid afternoon flight that was in the sky at 1523 with A320 VH-VNC) should arrive at 1614, 54 minutes late.

TT208 (Thursday 29 March 2018, the 1110 hours MEL - SYD with A320 VH-VNO) took off at 1202 so arrival is unlikely before 1307 compared with the schedule of 1235.

TT213, the Thursday 5 April 2018 scheduled 0700 hours from SYD down to MEL (A320 VH-VNR) took off at 0742, about 25 late but was in an extensive holding pattern above Mt Buller (Vic.) Arrival should be at roughly 0924, 49 minutes late.

Continuing with Thursday 5 April 2018, TT229, the 1010 hours SYD - MEL (A320 VH-VNK) was not in the sky until 1132, so arrival should be at 1240 hours, 55 minutes late.

TT364 (A320 VH-VNR, the 1115 hours from SYD up to BNE) was still taxiing in SYD at 1242 hours so will be more than an hour late into the Sunshine State. It has lost further time since being held approaching MEL on the 0700 hours from SYD earlier today.

Wednesday 11 April 2018 has seen a JQ flight apparently return to MEL after taking off, creating delays.

I don't know if there's a nexus but TT213, the scheduled 0700 hours SYD down to MEL did not take off until 0849 hours. Arrival is suggested as 1013 hours, 98 minutes late. All three other major airlines are also affected with late SYD - MEL flights if that is any comfort.

Winds gusting to 54kmh are the order of the Saturday 14 April morning at MEL with a bankup of aircraft waiting to take off as at 1025 hours.

Tt500 (0850 hours MEL down to HBA, A320 VH-VNH) was showing on FR24 as having become airborne at 0921 but at 1028 it was still in MEL. Did it return to MEL? I couldn't establish this.

Unfavourable weather (winds and some heavy rain) have continued in MEL with TT517, the 0955 hours BNE down to MEL that was airborne at 1027 (A320 VH-XUG) being placed in a hold close to destination, meaning a Cook's tour (although cloudy) of the northern suburbs and Avalon. Arrival should be at 1320, an even hour delayed.

TT223 (A320 VH-VNB) is worse with this timetabled 0905 hours SYD - MEL not taking off until 155, meaning arrival at 1322 hours, 162 minutes late after experiencing a hold above Marysville.

Sunday 15 April 2018 has TT535, the 1850 hours BNE down to MEL that took off right on 2000 hours (A320 VH-VNK.) It should arrive at 2207, 52 late.

The evening of Monday 16 April 2018 sees TT644, the 1835 hours ADL across to SYD (A320 VH-VNC) that took off at 1919 hours arriving at 2130, 35 minutes late.

TT446 (0850 hours ADL across to MEL that did not take off until 1025, A320 VH-VNR) should arrive 76 minutes late at 1156 on Thursday 19 April 2018.

B738 VH-VOY on TT214 (0800 northbound MEL - SYD) took off at 0906 on Friday 20 April so will be at least 40 minutes late past its scheduled 0930 arrival. TT northbound has a 90 minute gate-to-gate schedule while others tend to still have 85.

TT263 (1725 hours SYD - MEL that was in the sky at 1913 with B738 VH-VUB) looks to be arriving at 2022 hours, 82 minutes late. It had only been 22 minutes late arriving in SYD on TT252, the 1530 mid afternoon SYD - MEL so for whatever reason it spent much more time in SYD than the roster stated.

Apparently the weather isn't great at MEL on the morning of Saturday 21 April, but whether that is the sole reason for the huge delay to TT206 (0645 hours MEL - SYD) is unknown.

B738 VH-VOY took off at about 1051 so arrival will be at around the 1200 'high noon' mark instead of 0815 hours.
