Tigerair Australia Delays/Cancellations

Tomorrow Friday 30th November
1040 TT452 ADL-MEL cancelled
1305 TT238 MEL-SYD cancelled.
1600 TT259 SYD-MEL cancelled

That looks like one aircraft is unavailable.

With this LCC, what happens to passengers? Are they rebooked onto VA, or somehow (despite high load factors) rebooked later that day or on Saturday on TT?

I've not had it cancel any of my occasional flights with it, thank goodness, but if I use it again, my luck is sure to one day run out.

TT287, the 2145 hours SYD - MEL on 30 November has B738 VH-VOR but did not take off until 2235. Arrival will be at least half an hour late.

Sunday 2nd of Dec sees TT514 MEL-BNE 7 00 service cancelled. TT676 SYD-CNS cancelled. TT604 SYD-OOL 8 00 service is cancelled as well. Also, 218 TTMEL-SYD 9 30 is cancelled. TT517 BNE-MEL 8 55am has the same luck.
TT582 MEL-CNS 7 10 service (VH-XUG) departed until 9 25, 135 tardy. Arrival is expected at 11 27, 112 behind.

As at 1240 hours on Sunday 2 December 2018, most aircraft seem to be using runway 25 in Sydney to land from the east or take off to the west over Sydenham raiilway station so if that continues, delays are likely this afternoon as the Sunday peak comes upon us.

TT609 (A320 VH-VUH, the 1035 hours OOL - SYD) took off at 1116 and is arriving at 1336, 31 minutes tardy.

Sunday 2nd of Dec...
TT582 MEL-CNS 7 10 service (VH-XUG) departed until 9 25, 135 tardy. Arrival is expected at 11 27, 112 behind.

On its return, the aircraft is on TT585, the 1010 hours CNS down to MEL that was in the sky at 1205. Arrival is suggested as 1611 hours, 96 minute slate so if it is not victim to a holding pattern, it will have picked up more than half an hour since this morning's departure. However, 96 late is still bad.

By 1735 on Sunday 2 December 2018, SYD had reverted to using the north south runways so that may mitigate delays. Too late, though, for anyone on cancelled flights.

TT373 (1425 hours BNE down to SYD, A320 VH_VNB) was in teh sky at 1512 with arrival likely at 1746, 46 late.

TT623 (2 December 2018, the 1700 hours OOL down to SYD airborne at 1757) should arrive in the mainland harbour city at 2014 hours, 44 late.

TT416, Sunday 2 December PER across to MEL with A320 VH-XUG should be at its destination at 0131 on Monday 3, 86 late.

TT212 (Monday 3 December 2018, the 0750 hours MEL up to SYD) did not take off until 0856. B738 VH-VOY should arrive 43 minutes late at 1003 hours.

In the opposite direction, TT221 (0845 hours ex SYD) was still only taxiing at 0932 so will be at least half an hour late arriving in MEL. Aircraft is B738 VH-VOR.

Wed 5th of Dec sees TT362 SYD-BNE 10 15 flight depart until 11 03, arrival is suggested at 11 15, 30 min behind (VH-VNF).

A320 VH-VNF on Thursday 6 December 2018's TT491, the 1510 hours CNS down to BNE that took off at 1601 hours should arrive at 1755, half an hour tardy. This is the third consecutive flight that VNF has been 30 minutes or more late.

TT263 (B738 VH-VUB, the 1725 hours SYD - MEL) was airborne at 1811 hours. Arrival should be 1932, 32 late.

Friday 7 December 2018 finds TT451 (A320 VH-VNR), the 0915 hours MEL - ADL not becoming airborne until 1008 hours. Consequently arrival is estimated at 1047, 37 late.

Later on Friday 7 December, TT703 (VH-VNC, the 1250 hours CFS - MEL airborne at 1332) should arrive at 1522, 32 late.

TT238 (VH-VNR) from MEL to SYD, the 1305 hours took off at 1356. Predicted arrival is 1501, 31 late. Even if this arrival time occurs, the aircraft will only have picked up six minutes since its earloier late running today noted above.

The SYD down to MEL TT243 (B738 VH-VUB) looks to be arriving at about 1510, half an hour behind schedule.

The CBR to MEL TT664 has B738 VH-VOY and looks to be at its destination ramp or gate at roughly 1450, an hour late.

TT252 on Friday 7 December, the 1530 hours MEL - SYD took off at 1627 (B738 VH-VUB) with suggested arrival at 1728, 33 late.

In the opposite direction, TT263, the 1725 ex SYD (B738 VH-VUB) was airborne at 1823 so after incurirng a hold, arrival should be at 1950, 50 late.

TT529, the mid afternoon Saturday 8 December BNE down to MEL did not become airborne until 1923. A320 VH-VNC should arrive at 2225 hours instead of 1820, 245 minutes late. It looks to have substituted for another aircraft MEL - BNE - MEL, as both these flights ran four hours late. Not good considering that weather is benign.

Sunday 9th of Dec sees MEL-SYD 7 40 depart until 9 21, arrival is expected at 10 32, 82 behind (VH-VNC).

As one might expect, VH-VNC is also badly delayed on its next trip, TT358 from SYD up to BNE, the 0940 hours. It took off at 1124 so expected arrival is 1133 rather than 1010 hours, so 83 minutes tardy.

Yesterday, as noted above, this aircraft had to substitute for another and so was four hours late on a return trip. This morning's effort means four of its last five sectors (over two days) have been 75 minutes to four hours plus late. Hardly ideal especially given weather is benign.

With storms around MEL, TT256, the Sunday 9 December 2018 MEL to SYD at 1645 hours took off at 1745 with A320 VH-VNB. Arrival should be at about 1900 hours, 50 late.

TT413 (mid afternoon MEL - PER, the 1530 hours) is worse with takeoff at 1750. A320 VH-VNC looks to be arriving at 1850, 125 minutes tardy.

TT532, the 1605 hours MEL - BNE (A320 VH-VNH) closely followed, becoming airborne at 1752. It is about 85 minutes late.

Continuing today, TT314 ADL-BNE 17 40 service was cancelled.
TT536 MEL-BNE 19 05 service also cancelled.

TT539 BNE-MEL 20 50 service is cancelled. My boss tends to catch that flight which often gets cancelled. So adding this one to the unreliability stats.
