TT262 MEL-SYD (A320 VH-VNR) is arriving at 20 45, 50 min behind schedule.

On Friday 12 July 2019, TT252 (15125 hours mid afternoon MEL - SYD, B738 VH-VOR) did not become airborne until 1641, so arrival is 1746, 66 minutes late.

The 1625 hours CBR down to MEL took off at 1709. TT669 has A320 VH-VNO and should arrive at about 1806 hours, 31 late.

Monday 15th of July sees TT357 BNE-SYD (A320 VH-XUH) airborne at 9 21, arrival was at 10 40, 115 min tardy. This later formed as TT538 SYD-BNE, with revised arrival at 12 48, 123 min behind.

The red eye TT760 PER-SYD (A320 VH-XUG) arrived at 8 10, 90 min tardy.
(A320 VH-VNH) started late initially as TT214 MEL-SYD, with arrival at 11 30, 125 min behind schedule. This later formed as TT229 SYD-MEL, with suggested arrival at 13 35, 120 tardy.
TT671 CFS-SYD (B738 VH-VOY) is now expected at 12 10, 90 min late.
(A320 VH-VNH) was also delayed as TT214 MEL-SYD, arriving at 11 20, 115 min behind. The return leg as TT229 has a revised departure at 12 00, 120 min late.

TT206 MEL-SYD 6 45 hours service was cancelled.
TT219 SYD-MEL 8 45 hours also cancelled.

Sunday 21st of July sees TT529 BNE-MEL (A320 VH-VNG) with a revised arrival at 20 59, 179 min tardy.
TT269 SYD-MEL (A320 VH-XUG) is expected to arrive at 21 14, 59 min behind.
TT668 MEL-CBR has a suggested departure at 21 25, 175 min late.

TT243 (Friday 2 August 1405 hours SYD down to MEL, airborne at 1453 with B738 VH-VOY) should arrive at 1610, half an hour late.

On Tuesday 6 August, A320 VH-VNO on TT213, the 0700 hours early morning SYD down to MEL has had a bad start to its day with takeoff not until 0838. Predicted arrival is 1000 hours, 85 late. As a result, TT449, the 0915 to ADL is predicted to push back in MEL at 1010, a time that is unrealistic. More like 1040.

TT219 is the 0845 hours SYD - MEL with VH-VNK, not in the sky until 0941, so arrival becomes 1100, 40 late.

TT664 (1125 hours arrival in MEL ex CBR) is not coming in until 1505 this afternoon.

The later 1915 hours SYD down to MEL, TT269 should depart 65 late while the mid evening TT761 (2100 hours SYD - PER) faces a predicted pushback delay of 50 minutes.

TT464 (B738 VH-VOY, the 1415 hours ADL across to MEL airborne at 1500 hours on the dot) should arrive at 1637, 32 late.

In more today, TT561 OOL-MEL (A320 VH-VNH) has a revised arrival at 19 12, 77 min behind.
TT254 MEL-SYD, the 16 45 hours service is now scheduled to depart at 19 40
(A320 VH-VNO), initially TT377 BNE-SYD arrived at 17 28, 58 behind. Then formed as TT622 SYD-OOL which is now scheduled to depart at 18 00, 60 min tardy.

With MEL as well as SYD down to single runway ops as at 1900 hours on Thursday 8 August (thank you to Silvia), many aircraft are holding.

TT561, the 1535 hours OOL down to MEL took off at 1656 hours with A320 VH-VNH having experienced a hold just east of Bendigo, so expected arrival is 54 late at 1949.

The redeye from PER to SYD, TT758 (A320 VH-VNO) is arriving on Friday 9 August 2019 at 0801, 51 late.

Also today, TT213 SYD-MEL the 7 00 hours service was cancelled. TT214 SYD-MEL 8 00 hours service had the same luck.
TT219 SYD-MEL (A320 VH-VNH) is expected to arrive at 11 15, 55 min tardy.

With its limited frequency between Sydney and Melbourne, about nine TT flights today in total scheduled southbound (some of which have been cancelled), again this begs the question: how do airlines accommodate passengers form such cancelled flights on the same day if the remaining operating flights are already 85 per cent or better booked?

This is a problem very rarely, if at all, experienced with surface transport, rail or bus, worldwide but it is a continuing, larger headache for some LCC and legacy airline passengers.

Saturday 10 August sees TT214, the 0800 hours MEL - SYD not having taken off until 0941 hours with A320 VH-VNO. Arrival is predicted at 1112 hours, 107 minutes tardy.

From a quick look SYD may again be on single runway (east-west) ops. Disastrous for timekeeping, but maybe not so bad on Saturday afternoon, later, when airline traffic is less. Winds at 1030 hours were gusting to 54kmh.

A320 VH-VNH operated TT8282, which may be an empty working given yesterday's disruptions. It departed MEL, landing in SYD at 1115 hours.

In a shocker of a delay, also on 10 August 2019, TT617, the 1350 hours OOL - SYD took off at 1913. Arrival for A320 VH-VNH should be at 2027 hours, 307 minutes tardy.

From 8 August to today, 16 of this aircraft's last 17 passenger-carrying flights have been from 35 minutes to 5.5 hours late, with almost all more than an hour late. The weather hasn't been helpful but nonetheless hardly timekeeping to be proud of:

Northbound TT252 is also unimpressive, with this scheduled 1515 hours mid afternoon MEL - SYD not in the sky until 1948. Arrioval at 2054 hours, 254 late is on the cards for VH-VNF. This aircraft must be substituting for a failed plane as its previous flight was TT263, the 1720 hours SYD - MEL where it arrived at 1858, only three minutes late and quite quickly turned around.

TT252 (unimpressive yesterday, see previous post) is worse on Sunday 11 August as this 1515 hours mid afternoon MEL up to SYD has been cancelled.

The 1300 hours MEL - OOL, TT560, is expected to depart an hour late.

TT262 (1830 hours early evening MEL - SYD) is forecast to push back 55 late.

Monday 12 August 2019 sees TT560 from MEL up to OOL delayed by two hours to 1500 hours in its pushback.

TT517 from BNE to MEL, the timetabled lunchtime 1220 hours arrival is not pulling in until 1900 this evening so that is indicative of an aircraft failure leading to other flights' late running.

Tuesday 13 August has TT449, the morning 0915 hours MEL - ADL taking off at 1012. A320 VH-VNK should arrive at 1050, 40 late.

TT8517 is operating with B738 VH-VOR. This took off from BNE at 0857 and is arriving MEL at around 1100. It may be an empty working ('ferry flight').
