Tigerair Australia Delays/Cancellations

TT536 and TT668, respectively Sunday 1 September's 1645 hours MEL - BNE and 1830 hours MEL - CBR are expected to depart half an hour late.

On Tuesday 3 September, ADL had morning fog affecting inbounds until about 0900 hours. TT449 (A320 VH-VNR, the 0915 hours MEL - ADL airborne at 1028) should arrive at 1105, 55 late.

TT550, the 0715 hours Wednesday 4 September MEL - OOL (A320 VH-XUG) took off at 0749 so arrival is suggested as 0959 hours, 39 late.

A320 VH-VND on Thursday 5 September is operating TT511, the 0610 hours BNE - MEL that took off at 0653, so arrival is likely at 0908, 33 late.

While a delay like this is not huge, with a tight roster probable on a day when the AFL football finals commence, delays may well compound during the day. That will be interesting to observe.

Later on 5 September, TT661, the mid afternoon 1535 hours BNE - MEL was pointing skywards at 1553, only five minutes or so late, but after holding with a few long circuits east of Bendigo, arrival is at 1844, 49 minutes late. Having to approach from the south onto runway 34 has not helped timekeeping.

B738 VH-VOR is on TT254, the 1645 hours MEL - SYD airborne at 2030, so arrival should be 2137 hours, 207 minutes tardy. As so often occurs, this aircraft is 'subbing' for a failed sister, as its previous duty was the SYD - MEL TT263 that was timetabled to arrive at 1855 but was 34 late.

The 0715 hours MEL up to OOL, TT550, was airborne at 0858. Arrival should occur at roughly 1043, 83 late for A320 VH-VNC.

Also on Friday 6 September, TT413, the 1615 hours MEL across to PER is not expected to push back until 1840 hours, 145 minutes late.

TT254 (1645 hours MEL - SYD) is predicted to depart 95 minutes late at 1820 in the early evening.

TT262 (the 1825 hours MEL - SYD) is another that is not operating tonight.

TT421, the mid evening 2130 hours MEL across to PER should push back half an hour behind its timetable.

Some of these changes may be due to insufficient ATC staff on duty (and hence fewer available slots) but the airlines never publicly announce this on their websites.

Continuing with Friday 6 September 2019, TT506 (B738 VH-VUD) is the 1650 hours late afternoon HBA - MEL up up and away at 1748. Arrival should be 1855, 45 late.

Oh dear: TT243 is the 1410 hours afternoon SYD - MEL not in he sky until 1823 with A320 VH-VNC. Arrival is said to be 1942 hours, 237 late. This aircraft started out today as TT550 from MEL to OOL (as noted above, the 0715 hours airborne at 0858 - about 90 late) but delays have steadily compounded during the day.

TT449 (Saturday 7 September 2019, the 0915 hours MEL - ADL with A320 VH-VNC) was in the sky at 1016, so arrival has become 1055, 45 late.

The 0645 hours early morning TT206 - 0645 ex MEL - is far worse, taking off at 0953. VH-VNR should arrive at 1101 hours, 166 minutes behind the timetable. VH_VNR had run what may have been an empty ('ferry') flight this morning with TT8269 taking off from SYD at 0732, arriving MEL at 0849 hours.

TT609, the Monday 9 September 0955 hours OOL - SYD took off at 1046 hours (A320 VH-VNK) with suggested arrival at 1207, 42 late.

Passengers on TT394, the 0915 hours SYD - PPP on 9 September are having a bad hair day as takeoff was not until 1558. A320 VH-VNC should arrive 373 minutes late at 1808, almost in time to necessitate bringing a TV dinner in addition to a cut lunch!

TT243 (A320 VH-VNR, the 1420 hours SYD down to MEL not airborne until 1630) should arrive at 1750 hours, 115 minutes behind the timetable.

A benign weather-wise Friday 13 September finds TT243, the 1410 hours SYD - MEL airborne at 1518. As a result, A320 VH-VNH looks to be arriving at 1638 hours, 53 minutes tardy.

B738 VH-VUB on Sunday 15 September is TT252, the 1515 hours MEL - SYD not up up and away until 1629. Arrival should be 1737 hours, 57 late. It's a dreary rainy afternoon in parts of MEL, particularly to the southeast. Not that I'm knocking it, as Sydney and its north and west would love some.

Continuing with 15 September 2019, TT642, the 1750 hours ADL - SYD that took off at 1837 with A320 VH-VNK should arrive at 2043 mid evening, 33 late.

TT612 (1200 'high noon' Monday 16 September 2019 SYD - OOL) has A320 VH-VNR but did not take off until 1534 hours mid afternoon. Arrival should be 1638 hours, 198 minutes late.
