Tigerair Australia Delays/Cancellations

In the late afternoon of 16 September 2019, winds at SYD had been gusting to 56kmh but by 1830 were down to a maximum of 43kmh. TT616, the 1440 hours SYD - OOL was still taxiing in Sydney as at 1901 hours so is at least four hours late.

On a rainy morning - at long last - in SYD, Tuesday 17 September 2019, TT604 (A320 VH-VNK, the 0800 hours SYD - OOL) has taken off at 0901 so arrival will be at least 40 minutes tardy.

UPDATE: Arrival is showing as 1004, 44 behind.

TT214 (B738 VH-VOR), the 0800 hours MEL - SYD had not departed by 0844 hours, so will be at least 40 minutes late.

QF is also experiencing many delays so maybe ATC has had staff call in sick and hence changed depoarture times from outstations (for SYD-bound flights) have been issued.

Thursday 19 September 2019 finds southbound SYD - MEL TT263 (B738 VH-VUD)< the 1720 hours in the air at 1805 arriving at 1949 hours, 54 minute stardy.

After earlier gusting to 72kmh, winds at MEL by 0850 hours had moderated somewhat to gusts of 54kmh, so TT213 (A320 VH-VNR), the 0700 hours SYD down to MEL airborne at 0735 should arrive at 0913 hours, 38 minutes late.

Friday 27 September's TT585 from CNS down to MEL, the 1125 hours, took off at 1209 so arrival for B738 VH-YVA is 1534 hours, 44 minutes tardy.

At 1520 hours winds were gusting to 56kmh at MEL but at 1406 had reached 78kmh, the latter extremely high.

Far worse off is TT513, the 0700 hours morning SYD down to MEL (A320 VH-VNK) that in an extraordinary delay did not become airborne until 1441 this afternoon. Expected arrival is 1559, 444 minutes late. FR24 has not recorded all this aircraft's flights as the record stops at 1148 hours yesterday when it arrived in MEL, so it is unclear if it failed this morning but was repaired or whether it's substituting for another defective aircraft.

Saturday 12th of October sees the following delays across Tiger's network
A320 VH-VNG initially as TT604 SYD-OOL was airborne at 9 40, arrived at 9 51, 91 behind schedule. The return leg as TT609 OOL-SYD had a revised arrival at 12 46, 81 late. Later, this aircraft did a further SYD-OOL service as TT612, with arrival at 14 07, 107 min late. The return leg as TT617 OOL-SYD arrived to Sydney at 17 04, 109 min behind.
With a way worse delay, TT396 SYD-PPP (A320 VH-XUG) arrived to gate at 15 51, 311 min tardy. The return leg as TT395 PPP-SYD recently arrived at 20 04, 334 min behind schedule.
TT705 CFS-MEL (A320 VH-VNO) arrived to gate at 18 07, 97 min late.
With also a significant delay, (A320 VH-VND) TT560 MEL-OOL had a delayed arrival at 17 52, 227 min tardy. The return leg TT561 OOL-MEL has a suggested arrival at 21 45, 230 min behind.

TT641 (Monday 14 October 2019, the 1535 hours SYD across to ADL, A320 VH-VNR) took off at 1707 hours so the inevitable result is projected arrival at 1828, 68 late.

On Wednesday 16 September, TT642 (A320 VH-XUG, the 1750 hours late afternoon ADL across to SYD) took off at 1836 so arrival is estimated as 2045 mid evening, 35 late.

Airport code PPP may stand today for 'poor pi###d off passengers' as A320 VH-VNK on TT393, the 1150 hours to SYD did not take off until `1657. Expected arrival is 2005 hours, 295 minutes delayed.

TT253 (Friday 25 October, the 1720 hours SYD to MEL airborne at 1853) has B738 VH-YVA and is arriving at 2014, 79 behind.

Saturday 26th of October sees TT223 SYD-MEL (A320 VH-VNK) with a revised arrival at 13 14, 99 min behind.
TT226 MEL-SYD (A320 VH-VNO) had a late arrival at 14 33, 73 tardy.
Similarly, TT677 CNS-SYD (A320 VH-XUH) arrived to gate at 15 03, 73 min late.
TT704 MEL-CFS 12 05 hours and TT705 CFS-MEL 14 30 hours were cancelled.
TT252 MEL-SYD has a revised departure at 17 10 hours.

TT617, the Saturday 26 October 1250 hours OOL down to SYD took off at 1549. A320 VH-VJG should arrive at 1825 hours, 185 minutes late.

How TT can run this late on a Saturday, hardly a peak day (especially with few sporting events if any on that generate passengers) is beyond me.

Friday 1 November 2019's TT229 is the 1000 hours SYD - MEL, airborne at 1120 hours with B738 VH-VUB. Arrival, given MEL is down to one runway due to fairly string winds, should be at 1236 hours, 61 behind.

In a wet Saturday 2 November that has seen single runway ops in MEL for most if not all of the day thus far, TT705 (1355 hours CFS down to MEL in the sky at 1459 with B738 VH-VOY) is arriving at 1647, 52 minutes behind the timetable.

Sunday 3 November sees TT514, the 0645 hours MEL - BNE airborne at 0807 so arrival is estimated for B738 VH-VUD as 0907, 67 late.

This plane was in MEL from 1704 hours yesterday afternoon so goodness knows why it is so late this morning. TT's punctuality is appalling (not that the other three are always hugely better.)

TT667 (Sunday 3 November, the 1955 hours CBR - MEL that took off at 2121 with B738 VH-YVA) should arrive at 227, 72 late.

The 1920 hours evening OOL - SYD, TT625 (A320 VH-XUH) took off exactly an hour later, so arrival has become 2235, 45 behind.

TT644 (Thursday 7 November, the 1750 hours late afternoon ADL across to SYD was airborne at 1827, so forecast arrival is 31 minutes late at 2041 for A320 VH-VNR.

Northbound TT264 (B738 VH-VUD) is the 1845 hours MEL - SYD not in the sky until 1943 so it will be at least 40 minutes late arriving at its gate.

TT252 (1525 hours mid afternoon MEL - SYD, Friday 8 November) has been cancelled.

TT253, the scheduled 1540 hours SYD down to MEL did not take off until 1651. B738 VH-VOR should arrive at about 1810, 55 late.

Continuing with Friday 9 November, SYD is on single runway ops as at 1800 hours, so many aircraft are holding prior to arrival. TT373, the 1425 hours BNE - SYD took off at 1529 (about 40 - 50 late) and is arriving with A320 VH-XUG 85 minutes late at 1815 hours.

As winds gust up to 54kmh during mid evening at SYD on Tuesday 12 November 2019, TT381 from BNE down to SYD, the 1655 hours airborne at 1854 is arriving at roughly 2133 hours, 123 minutes behind the schedule.
