In further among the huge numbers of east coast delays in the evening of Sunday 13 November, TT279 (2025 hours mid evening SYD to MEL that took off at 2214, A320 VH-VNP) is likely to arrive 87 minutes late at 2327.

Continuing with Monday 14 November 2016 delays, TT562, the 1300 hours from MEL up to OOL was airborne at 1419; arrival should be at around 1613 this afternoon, 68 minutes late.

The 1525 hours mid afternoon from CNS down to BNE took off at 1656 hours. A320 VH-VNH is suggested as arriving 65 minutes behind at 1845.

On the evening of Sunday 20 November, TT261 (1655 hours from SYD down to MEL, A320 VH-XUG) did not take off until 1858, so arrival is suggested as 113 minutes tardy at 2023 hours.

Monday 21 November 2016 has humid, rather unsettled conditions in MEL with a storm at about 1800 hours. TT563 (the 1435 hours from OOL) was airborne at 1515; arrival should be at about 1846, 51 late. A320 VH-VNQ is the aircraft.

TT464 (1500 hours ADL - MEL, VH-VNB) took off at 1702 so it should pull in to the arrival gate at around the 1905 mark, 138 minutes behind.

The 1410 hours BNE - MEL (A320 VH-VNH, TT527) took off at 1620; arrival should be at 1941, 126 minutes delayed.

Tuesday 22 November 2016 sees the late afternoon 1725 hours SYD - MEL Tt263 (A320 VH-XUG) turning into a very late night experience for tired passengers with takeoff at 2121 and, after being in a holding pattern, likely arrival at about 2255, 235 minutes tardy.

The Wednesday 23 November 2016 TT263 (1725 SYD - MEL) took off at 1822 using A320 VH-VNH. Arrival is predicted as 47 minutes late at 1900.

On Thursday 24 November, TT213, the 0700 hours SYD - MEL did not take off until 0754, but was still two minutes ahead of competitor but identically timed flight JQ503. TT213 has A320 VH-VNC as its workhorse: it should arrive at 0910 hours, 35 down.

Later on 24 November, TT627 from OOL to SYD is arriving at 2240, 40 minutes late and as with many arriving flights is somewhat unusually arriving from the west over Sydenham.

TT248, the 1500 hours MEL - SYD that took off at 1715 hours (A320 VH-VNB) should arrive very late at about 1841 hours, 136 minutes tardy, with a holding pattern near Goulburn not helping.

Another flight on the same route, TT256, the 1645 hours that was airborne at 1738 should be at its destination at around 1850, 40 late. VH-VNJ is the Airbus A320.

TT278, the 2045 hours MEL - SYD has been cancelled but TT282, the 2105 hours departure is operating.

Continuing with delays on Friday 25 November 2016, TT642 is shockingly late with this 1750 hours scheduled flight not taking off until 2040. SYD arrival of A320 VH-VNO should be at 2253, 163 minutes behind time and only about 12 minutes from breaking the curfew.

Earlier, TT271, the 1840 hours SYD - MEL was cancelled while TT279, the 2025 hours also to MEL departed about an hour late.

What happens if there are more passengers than seats on the one evening flight from SYD to MEL? Transferred to VA, or if not, an uncomfortable night in SYD?

On Saturday 26 November, TT353 (0625 hours BNE - SYD) was not airborne until 0756. VH-VND (A320) should be 77 minutes late arriving in SYD at 1017.

BNE (airport not city) had an incredible amount of 88 millimetres of rain between 0615 to 0830 on Saturday 26 November so that must be why so many flights have departed badly late.

Sunday 27 November's early evening sees TT263 (1725 hours SYD - MEL) having become airborne at 1845 with A320 VH-XUH. Arrival should be at approximately 2002 hours - 62 minutes late.

Monday 28 November has Tt703, th 1125 late morning CFS - MEL having not become airborne until 1358. Arrival is predicted for 1541, 136 minutes tardy with A320 VH-VNH.

The evening of Tuesday 29 November sees TT279 (2025 hours from SYD down to MEL) not having taken off until 2120; arrival of A320 VH-VNJ should be at around 2230, half an hour behind the schedule.

On Friday 2 December 2016, TT533, the 1740 hours from BNE down to MEL took off at a late 1924, so arrival is predicted for 2237 later this evening, 92 minutes delayed. Aircraft is A320 VH-XUG.

TT278, the 2045 hours from MEL up to SYD was cancelled. This is the second consecutive Friday that this has occurred. While TT282, the last of the night at 2105 hours from MEL up to SYD operated, one wonders if all the passengers from TT278 could fit on board TT282. If not, they may be delayed overnight. Advice from any affected passengers would be great.

Saturday 3 December sees TT524 (1215 hours MEL - BNE) not having departed until 1315 with arrival predicted as 1403, 33 late; plane is A320 VH-VNB.

On Monday 5 December TT213, the 0700 hours from SYD to MEL took off late at 0802 hours, so arrival of A320 VH-VNH should be at around 0924, 49 minutes late.

In further on Monday 5 December, showing how delays continue when aircraft have tight turnaround times or do not manage to pick up much time enroute, VH-VNH is arriving MEL at 1401 hours, 36 minutes late on TT703, the 1125 hours CFS - MEL that took off at 1214. In four and a half hours, this aircraft has only picked up about 13 minutes of its earlier 49 minute deficit.
