Turkish Airlines Status Match

It has been reported that it's over .. so would be surprised for you if it did come through!

I still haven't heard anything from TK regarding the Status match, has been over two weeks via email request.. not even an acknowledgement.. Think I'll stay with my usual comfort provider.

So the outbound SQ flight was credited to M&S within 24hrs of the flight, but the return has now been almost a week and hasn't been credited yet..is this typical?
ISTR that one of my flights last year took a while, but it came through in the end. It may have been two weeks.

I'm in the same boat. I have received a newsletter by email since I joined but no acknowledgement of my SM request.

I fly NZ earlier this week and still had Gold status, but come home to find my Silver card waiting. I looked at the "normal" check in line at CHC with the increasing realisation that I will probably be there next time I fly NZ. What a shame QF do not do CHC/MEL.

ROFL

Just checked in at SFO for my AC flight to YVR.....

The lovely girls at check-in and the Delta Sky Club were falling over themselves over the novelty of Turkish Airlines Star Gold :)

Checkin Agent: You're a member of Turkish Airlines? Do you know the 2 digit code? I've never had them before ;)

Well Nothing seemed to have happened, so I tried to claim the points to Krisflyer, which occurred instantly using their website. However last night I received an email saying that the points have also been accrued into M&S. I'm unsure what (if anything) to do now?

How did you get into the Delta Sky Club? Are they renovating the Maple Leaf lounge (or there isn't one)?

Check-in agents never cease to amaze me sometimes...

Alright, now I'm WP. Will TK status match me even though most of my SC were on domestic AA First flights with no European sectors?

Handy in SIN where you get SK access, which is a big bonus in T3 if flying SQ versus the alternate from VA membership.

No, you only get SilverKris lounge access in SIN if you fly SQ J or F (I'm unsure if other Star Alliance J or F also get access, but I did email SQ the other day if a TG J pax got access and the answer was no).

Star Alliance Gold members who are not flying SQ J or F use the KrisFlyer Gold lounge.

Of course, the rules may have changed......

Oh - SFO "A" gates use the Delta Lounge.... "G" gates use the United Lounge.

My comments were based on experience Tuesday night in SIN.

So you were flying SQ Y and got into the SilverKris lounge with your TK*G?

If so then that is not orthodox (except if you believe there aren't exceptions to the Star Alliance access rules). Not sure if you managed to fall through the cracks or they've changed the rules.

And, if they've changed the rules, then no reason why they should continue to restrict Virgin elites to the KrisFlyer Gold lounge.....
