Apologies if I've missed anyone. Looking at that list, I don't think guest spots will be a problem for any others who want to join us who aren't WP :)
I am staying in Melbourne that night, cannot see any sense in rushing home
I am tempted to fly to BNE prior and then do the first two with you then stay in MEL for the night. ;)
markis10 implies he's joining us, and maybe straitman:)

I will be joining and have the HI booked, just not sure if JQ35 is for me.
Well if it is not for you then it is definitely not for me.

Wish I could join but I am going to continue with my protest. Read stubborness....

just not sure if JQ35 is for me.

I feel the same way, but I'm justifying it because:

* It's Jet*, not Qantas :), and
* As far as I'm aware, it's the only way you can get access to the F-Lounges in Sydney and Melbourne?

Hoping to book my tickets today, will be following Bundy's flight plan :)

Looking at the following schedule.

Jan 29 BNE-SYD on DJ The 9:00am departure.
Jan 29 SYD-MEL on JQ for the F Lounge
Jan 29 MEL-BNE on DJ the 8:00pm departure(time for a few drinks

Flights are booked :)

Jan 29 BNE-SYD on DJ The 8:00am departure - Unfortunately cheap seats are all gone on the 9am flight
Jan 29 SYD-MEL on JQ35 for the F Lounge
Jan 29 MEL-BNE on DJ the 8:00pm departure(time for a few more drinks :))

I'm very tempted. If I book on JQ35 and have hand luggage only, can I online check-in and, therefore, head straight through to the FLounge once I land from PER on the midnight flight that morning? One must get one's priorities in order!

I'm tempted to follow your plan (or Bundy Bears), but still trying to decide if I want to overnight in MEL or not...

I believe that statement to be correct. Best to get to the airport early as the economy line is long, and status (other than CL) means nothing. Unless you’ve got a StarClass ticket.

Altho. checkin officially opens 3 hours prior, according to Anat01, they can be up to 1/2 hour late opening:evil:...but he advises to arrive about 3.5 hours prior so that you will be near the front of the Q... (of course, this is not relevant if you have a StarClass ticket...)

Jetstar international can be slow to open at the 3 hour mark and if the flight isn't full then you will find check in staff don't rush themselves.

Still to book JQ 35 and the flight home Have any of the 2011 deals and specials been released for hotels.

yohy?! maybe attending, but as suggested by Ewing there is likely to be quite a few guest spots. so get in early so we can accommodate / confirm spots etc.

I may try to join along on this one, will keep the dates marked. No idea where I'll be at the time though so will leave the planning till later. Are there still any plans for the actual last day? I will probably make my way to the nearest QP that day.

What do you all normally do on these JQ flounge runs? Y or *class? I'd feel heart broken not getting any points ;)

Most people fly on the JetSaver fare, but there are often 1 or 2 who may fly *class to get the 40 SC.

I am sure QF will get the message about axing anytime access loud and clear as you wait in line to check in for your JQ flight :D. Time better spent in a lounge IMHO.
