I'm doing this on the cheapFigured I could select a seat during OLCI, except apparently can't use OLCI as it depart from the INT terminal. Oh well, I shall leave it to the seating gods.

Seats weren’t bad for the short flight anyway, and they served San Pellegrino on board.![]()
What's the capacity of the SYD F Lounge anyway?
From some brief searching - 48 seats in the restaurant with overall capacity of 220.
Wow… I wonder how they’d fit 220 in there. I’m not sure an F lounge is such if everyone is standing![]()
It would be a difficult for QF to deny lounge access because your guest is not your partner. I do not believe this is written anywhere in the terms and conditions. My concern is the guesting policy may be declined - if I was Qantas, I would do this... We are publicly telling Qantas we intend to wreak havoc on the F lounge as well as some other lounges - if any of us owned these lounges, what would you do? Personally deny access to all guests unless proven as a partner.
Then QF will need to deny access to everyone flying JQ that day just in case they are AFF'ers. That will not be a wise thing to do.Sam, experience has seen guesting entitlements withdrawn without notice as QF are entitled to do at times, this is what is being discussed, a la a past Ozfest.

But's that is almost exactly what the QC Manager invoked at ozfest IV. Any Platinum member there using anytime access was advised to vacate the premises. There were some non-FT'ers who were very unhappy with the process.

Sure but in this instance QF Platinums are actually flying on the day on an eligible flight and are entitled to use the First Lounge. But's that is almost exactly what the QC Manager invoked at ozfest IV.
