I signed my wife up for the Platinum card and approval was quite quick.

Charged over $5k to the card in April, (thank you ATO).

When I log in to the page “My Card Transactions” it shows the transactions for April, and on the login page that payment is due by the 21[SUP]st[/SUP] May, but when I go the page “My Card Statements” it shows the following.

We have also not received a Statement yet, and cannot open one from the website..

On the good side the 20K points have been posted to my wife’s QFF Account.

I will get my wife to call them over the weekend, but wondered if anyone else had come across this situation.

Perhaps your charges in April were made after the April statement closing date? I would think your charges will show up in the May statement due for payment in June. I experienced the same issues following my first few transactions and was worried that I had missed paying my account, however all charges were on the following months statement.

Same happened to me in March. I just waited til the statement arrived as there was nothing i could do. It does say there is no payment required anyway.

That could well be so.
The first transaction was on the 26th April.
I would have thought that a statement would have issued even if it showed no transactions.

Yes, you would think so, a lot of card providers issue a statement even if there were no transactions. I just know my first month with this card was as you posted above, and no statement was issued.

BPay direct from the card is treated as a cash advance on every credit card I've seen"
You obviously don't have a Citibank card! I have numerous Bpays set up and all collect points. I agree however that Westpac do not allow points for Bpay but IME they are the only ones. Will gladly stand corrected if wrong.

The one gripe I have with card is login. With other cards I use, I easily recall my login as username is variations of my surname. With this card however, I have to use access code and now I carry the number in my wallet. Harder to keep in memory. No problem with password though.

I don't think you are wrong...I have BPayed from various points earning cards and it has NEVER been treated as a cash advance and always earned points.

NEW Terms and conditions EMAIL being sent out!
Got it.....nothing of note to report...I THINK?

I've got to say that Macquarie is pretty harsh with their assessment criteria on this card. My father (retired but with a public service pension above $80k and total income net of tax in the six figures) was refused by Macquarie. Their call centre was completely useless and refused to have the application assessed by a human being rather than their computers. This, of course, made all the more hilarious by AMEX granting a $19k credit limit in the same round of applications.

Doesn't make sense, does it. I've got Jetstar card and letter from HSBC asking to apply. I'm not rushing to apply. I'd rather not apply and wait to build good record with Macquarie and Citi, the more recent card providers.

Last day for you to spend to $5000.00 to get the 10K point bonus .... in case people forget about it.

Then we will all be waiting for the 10K hitting our account.

Hmm I didn't spend the $5k (damn my stinginess) but I haven't yet got the 20k bonus yet.

Time for a phone call when I get back in Oz, methinks ...

Good luck!

I just experienced the "service" from the centre after discovering they have charged me $149 for an annual card fee - despite what the Qantas site says about no fee for the first year. Not a great start
so the Philippines call centre person won't talk to me wothout ID questions - I said why should I do that when you've stuffed up - who else is going to ring and ask for the fee to be corrected! Just fix the mistake - no way says the robot - you have to answer the ID check questions

so I ask to speak to a supervisor - none available she says - someone will ring you in 2 days! - now that's service!

Seriously wondering if the 30000 points is worth the hassle of dealing with them!

If I had any doubts before they're gone now - definitely going to be a case of get the 30000 points credited then cancel the card - even then it's going to be hard to stand dealing with them!

You know I had no problems getting the incorrect fee refunded. Then again I always take the view that I will be helpful when I want something from "them". ID questions? Sure, if it will get me my money/points/whatever else I want. ;)
