Up to 30000 bonus points with JQ Mastercard

Applied for this card today, only to be told "allow upto 10 days to process your application".

Does JQ do instant rejections?

I applied about a week ago. Haven't heard zip from them since. Don't expect to if the Macquarie Platinum Card was anything to go by, it just turned up a couple of weeks after I applied. No indication one way or another before it lobbed in the mailbox. This is also a Macquarie card so I expect the same level of communication.

JQ CC = Macquarie CC... when i called Macquarie to make a complaint about my Mac CC, they started referring to it as the Jetstar CC accidently, so same people I guess..

Update to my application, thankfully painless.

29/6 (Sat) - Applied online
2/7 (Tues) - Paperwork to confirm ID & proof of income
5/7 (Fri) - ID verification via Aust Post & forms submitted
15/7 (Mon) - Received Card

Confirmed with activation team
- enrolled into QFF program not Jetstar dollars
- 15k QFF + 2 QC passes after first spend before Sept 30 2013
- additional 15k QFF after $5k spend before Sept 30 2013
- $69 first year annual fee (confirmed because I was a jetmail subscriber)

Same here, but that may not mean anything. Macquarie CC are that disorganised, it wouldn't surprise me if you have the card activated and in use before they get around to doing a credit check.

I would have to agree - I received a Jetstar Dollar email worth $100 the other day because of my CC - yet I am enrolled in QFF. Need to chase it up!

Did anyone manage to get he half price annual fee + 30000pts?

I applied through the link that flashed up the 30,000pts offer and then went through and got the half price fee.

I now have my card and the half price fee applied so wondering if I will get both of have I dudded myself of 30,000pts for the sake of $69 extra in fees?

Still no contact whatsoever, however, they made an inquiry on my veda file last night, so that only took 3 weeks. Might get an answer sometime in late September at this rate (which is when you have to have spent $5K on the card to earn the full 30k QFF sign on bonus.)

Really? I applied for this and have met the cone of silence. When I applied for a Citibank issued card, they drove me nuts asking for all sorts of things, and sometimes requesting the same things mutliple times. Two weeks and counting here.

Same result or outcome, takes a while to get what you applied for.

I applied on 19/07/13 and haven't heard anything from them yet. Annoying, as I'm delaying some purchases to throw on this card and make sure I manage the $5k to qualify for the second lot of 15,000 points.

Applied over 4 weeks ago, got the call in the 1st week for pay statements. Emailed them through, nothing since.
Rang them, got the cant confirm or deny cough re the application.

See you later Macquarie/Jetstar, Bankwest are going to look after me with the Qantas Plat Mastercard.
