US election: Donald Trump 'landslide' victory predicted by political scientist
'Everybody thinks Trump is going to go down in flames, and here I am predicting with almost total certainty that he’s going to win.'au.yahoo.com
Interesting take....
Murdoch print media hails Trump acceptance speech as “ Trump nails the moment with a showstopper” yet even sycophantic Fox News describes it as “underwhelming”.

yes, yes, yesSo don't follow the nationwide polls; just any measuring Swing States although there are many polls but not many just focusing on selected States.
Too close to call; but its a long way to November. Biden must get out more, stay on message and, at least match Trump in the debates to have a chance.
Traditionally it’s conservatives who vote mail-in..... postal votes in Australia are knowN To favour LNP - civic duty, avoid a fine, avoid the rush, yadda yadda..
While I'm not necessarily an ardent Biden fan, the big difference for me is that he will a) surround himself with good people and b) will listen to them. Whereas Trump has seen a steady stream of people leaving, generally because they become disillusioned with his inability to listen to reason and is basically just left with a bunch of sycophants who only tell him what he wants to hear. Both choices appear to offer chaos and disintegrating social and economic order , perhaps trump trumps biden with added bloodshed…..
Sounds weird in our post modern world but I'm just hungering for a fact/evidence based presidency.
Yes but let's see the post convention pollsDoes anyone else get a sense that things are swinging towards Trump? Horrible thought.....

I was listening to analysis of mainstream media reporting describing how Biden risk being derailed by the "far left's" radical policies (eg universal health care).
Emphatically, unfortunately. You've got to give him his dues - he tells a great story. All he has to do is to scare enough people into thinking that democrats are coming after their homes, jobs, guns, religious rights and health care, and he's got it in the bag.

Perhaps when the feeling are mild, then it might not draw people to vote. The polls in general that indicate how the nation is feeling it seems are largely irrelevant. (and as in 2016 don't indicate who will take office).
Allegedly, the only things that matter are the people at the margins in 5 key states and whether they bother to partake in the process.
