Vaccine Rollout in Australia - personal accounts.

The Brits really love a good queue, it was snaked all the way along with the shopping cente. Didn't feel the needle but boy did I feel the rest, arm feels dead which I haven't had before. I wonder if it's because he did it right at the top of my arm? Right near my shoulder almost. Anyway I've gone up to full bars signal strength so seems to be doing the trip.

Wasn't able to do my last daily rapid test due to being pinged as hard to find any. Haven't found paracetamol anywhere either.

Arm a little sore but not really that noticeable. No side effects at all for me. That's 3/3 with no side effects, which Mrs FB is very jealous of!

24 hours after Moderna Booster (first two Pfizer) feeling fine. Arm was a little sore but nowhere near as bad as Pfizer.

Same here. About 36 hours later and no side effects except the sore spot on the arm, and definitely less sore than my second Pfizer.

Not willing to attribute my afternoon nap to it as it’s the last week of an intense work year and I was feeling tired even before I had the shot.

I had a moderna booster Sunday morning and my arm and the rest of me feels sore this morning.
Not sure if its caused by my weekend sport but definitely not feeling the best this morning.

Day 5 post Moderna booster. Still a little redness, only just sore to touch.

Just had my Moderna Booster (first 2 shots were AZ) from the local pharmac_. In and out in literally 5 minutes. Interestingly, there was no requirement to sight my ID or Medicare card. Also no requirement to wait those 15 minutes.

So far, so good...

Hopefully they already had it on file otherwise booster wont show up on your international vax certificate noting that some countries no longer consider you fully vaccinated if it been more than 6 months since dose 2.

I provided my Medicare number when making the booking and the details were uploaded to my certificate within 5 minutes. The point I was making was that no one checked to see if I was who I said I was (ie. my checking my ID).

My wife had her Pfizer booster on Sunday (after AZ-AZ) and likewise had a sore arm and felt washed out this morning, so much so that she couldn't do her regular childminding services today.

After lunch she perked up and is now, apparently, fine...

Both parents got Pfizer booster today a week shy of 6 months post AZ, neither have so much as a sore arm so far.

Yes, my wife felt fine after her vacc for the rest of the day.

It was during the night and the next morning that she felt awful.

Dad had AZ-AZ-Pfizer and no discernable reaction.

I am still deciding on my timing and vaccine type for a booster. 6 months since second jab now but potential overseas holiday in March so just holding off for the moment as would prefer optimal protection while travelling...

Interestingly got a text from NSW Health today (1 and 2 done at vax hub) telling me I could now get my booster as I was at 5 months. Text is 12 days early…

I got that text today too, even though already booked in for Wed which is exactly 5 months to the hour.

I plan to get a 4th shot in July before venturing overseas in August

Well the "best" scenario would actually be to contract covid (I'm not concerned health wise) and have documented proof from GP etc...then a third dose just before travel...
But your can test positive for covid after original infection for upto 90 days (so I read) so you could test positive on a pre-departure test. That would be a bummer!

Tough call for you to wait extra couple months.
