Sorry. I stand corrected. However if I had not received even an acknowledgement of receipt of the application from them I would be checking. Emails do go missing some times.

I received a confirmation straight away

Both mine and mrsdrron's emails were sent at 0440 on 26/8.Her acknowledgment email received 0441,mine 0443.
Her status changed when checked morning of 1/9.
As of today,8/9,I am still just a member.

Gold match came through late last night, so review date of 7 September 2012.

13 days for me, then, well inside the 4 four weeks.....

My platinum match came through last night, lodged on line 26 August.

My account isn't showing any points or SC's for the 2 VA flights I took yesterday with my account still showing Gold.

My review date is 7 September, so should my SC's from that date count for plat retention and will points be allocated at plat rates?

The last time I flew VA (then DJ) was in 2007 - something that's about to change.

Applied in person on 27 Aug at Westfield, not a peep since then...

I was issued a temporary card and luggage tags on the spot, but I won't take it as official (i.e. booking anything) until I've it confirmed.

Starting to get a bit concerned.

I had already started to fly VA more due to travel to some places like OOL etc, and the fact I've already qualified QF WP with a few months to go and have Velocity Gold via the Accelerate program.

Generally have been pretty impressed with the SYD priority check in service, the MELB lounge, and the on board service, including an onboard op-up to J on a 4 day old 737 from OOL - SYD a few weeks back. Before the status match offer came up I'd already decided to try and retain both Velocity Gold and WP. (Would hate to say goodbye to the F lounge forever.)

Ironically, at the same time as my status was clicking over to Plat, I was in the air. Sitting in row 6 on a fully loaded VA flight MEL -SYD, in an old DJ 737 that reminded me of of why I didn't fly DJ before now- hard seats, no leg room or elbow room - and longing for a QF 767.

I wonder whether if I was already a VA plat things would have been any different - row three or perhaps even one of the 5 empty PE seats?:mrgreen:

Looks like the status matches are starting to increase from a trickle, but yet to be a full flood. Nice to see many people from 26th and some into 27th now receiving acknowledgements.

For the record, I sent my status match email on Sat 27th, and it looks like I was bumped up to Platinum on the 5th according to my account screen cap above.
Haven't actually received any notification as yet.

Any toilets or showers in the KrisFlyer T2 Gold lounge? According to this there are none, which sounds a bit suss.

No. Wasn't the best lounge I've seen. Tiger on tap though.
