Re: Velocity partners with iTunes and major retailers

No idea k3nnis, I just copy'n'pasted a press release ;)

Re: Now earn Virgin Australia frequent flyer points on iTunes music, apps

And then wait six months or more before the points get credited........

Re: Velocity partners with iTunes and major retailers

Log into the shopandearn website. Then click on shop now on the itunes link. Then it will open up itunes app on your computer. Then just buy from there???

Good luck, because once you are inside the app there is no tracking so they won't know what you've bought. I really can't see how this is going to work.

Re: Velocity partners with iTunes and major retailers

They have set up something so it works as I just hit the shop now button from Google chrome and an extract of the pop up says;

Google Chrome need to launch an external application to handle itmss: links. The link requested is itmss://itunes.apple.com/au/genre/music/id34?affC=QQABAAAD6gAWaIOn blah blah blah www.shopandearn.com.au/tracking/4281.

So shop away!

Good luck, because once you are inside the app there is no tracking so they won't know what you've bought. I really can't see how this is going to work.

Re: Velocity partners with iTunes and major retailers

methinks there will be a surge of itunes gift cards on ebay in the next few weeks...................

Re: Now earn Virgin Australia frequent flyer points on iTunes music, apps

It says that purchases through the mobile application are excluded, however when you click the link on Velocity website, it launches iTunes on my mac and goes to the store. Therefore, I presume that purchases through iTunes on a computer are valid

Shop and not earn is the new slogan.....After making two purchases through shop and earn and following the whole process through logging in and they track your transactions i earnt 500 points from the 6000 i was meant to earn. Purchased on October 1 and have been in contact with velocity on five occasions who said they cant confirm with the retailer that my transactions are confirmed even after reciepts and all payment details were sent into velocity. As a good will gesture Velocity offers to give me 500 points. What a scam :-/

Following up from this, I sent the velocity team an email, they replied asking for proof of purchase, so I sent a copy of the invoice.

A week later I had to chase up to push the issue and have just received an email saying they can't award me the points due to not being logged in. I know 100% I am logged in and am very familiar with the Shopand Earn store. Time for another email I think.

Another update from me. No communication from Velocity since my last email, where I also asked where my points are for a February transaction through eStore.com.au. However... I magically recieved an email from Velocity saying I had a FragranceX transaction pending and it went to approved within a few days.

A good result, although not sure if it's because I had to email them or something was going wrong with FrangranceX....

I sent Velocity an email a couple of days ago about my missing points. The reply was that the points were approved and will be credited within 60 days of purchase. Problem is that it has been over 90 days and counting!

I'll refrain from commenting on the combined amount of 4k points from various retailers that haven't credited, or the 5.5k points that never happened after a spend with Dell, as I'm sure there is enough evidence on here about things like that...

Had just noticed that 2 of the retailers that I used on a semi regular basis (estore.com.au and Dominoes ) have disappeered from the store. Annoying, as tardy as point allocation is it's still good to get things eventually, now I will pretty much just use it for eBay!

I just noticed Vistaprint.com.au is no longer a partner. I have points pending with them, are they as good as gone now?

I found with the Velocity bookarestaurant partners that left the program after people had dined there, the points were still given by Velocity (eventually). If you accept an offer provided by Velocity (and abide by all of the terms of it), they have to honour the terms of the offer regardless of whether their partner has left the program.

I would not expect to see your points before Christmas though.

I just saw that as well, I did used to like Domino's as their Pizzas have been getting better and better, but it was only 25 points..... and costs more than my local Pizza joint now, as Dominos kept increasing prices!

Has the site been down all weekend for anyone else? And still down ... missing out on points here

Re: Velocity partners with iTunes and major retailers

Some of my points have posted and some haven't.

For those who have rung/emailed, what is the best number/email address? The website directs you to the general VFF number but the staff there dont even know what the Global eStore is.

Re: Velocity partners with iTunes and major retailers

Thankyou to Alex from VA who assisted in sorting out all my purchases. From my original post here till now - 3 weeks later my points became Pending last week and approved this week. It's nice to see that someone is following this forum and assisting to rectify issues. Thanks again ;-)

I received the points last week, which was a nice suprise.

I made a purchase at Apple recently of a product with some options (a Mac Mini with a faster processor and Fusion Drive). The transaction has shown up as pending, but the points relate to the base price excl GST only, not the optioned up price.
Has anyone else seen this? Maybe it'll come good when the transaction is approved, but if not I'll be following it up as the options account for 1500 points (using the excl GST value).
