Just adding to the data set here - an Appliances Online order - email received within 24hrs to confirm order placed.

Will have to wait and see how long until points appear.

Took a look at my points history the other week and noticed than an order from Ties n Cuffs from last June was still listed as pending. Email sent, wonder how long it's going to for them to fix it.

Double points in May? I may hold off in purchasing then. I have a heap of stuff to buy at one of the retailers that's (without bonus) 14 points per dollar. 28 points per dollar? I'll stock up at that price (although that's effectively buying points at 3.6c each which is not great value, but if your redeem them at around 8c, that's still 50% off ;)).

Looking at doing afew purchases through the store before month's end (Apple Store I'll add too) - Based off this topic, I'm not sure if I should bother.... :/

Anyone had any success/fail stories of recent?

Recent experience...

Made three transactions through the Velocity Shop & Earn website in June, (Apple Store, Appliances Online & eBay), which are not yet displaying as "pending" on the Velocity membership web site as they should.

The browser was configured the same way it is instructed to be (cookies settings, etc.), with on screen confirmation that the transactions were being tracked during the process, which has worked successfully for previous purchases. The decision to order these items at this time through Velocity Shop & Earn was based on the recent offers advertised via email and on the web site.

Contacted the Velocity team via website, email and phone call four days ago... received promises that the issue would be resolved within three business days. Getting low on business days now...

In short, like a few other stories, should be a success story, but currently more of a fail from Shop and (NOT) earn!

I count these points as bonus points I would otherwise have (probably) not gotten. Sure, it's slow, but it's a bonus. My menulog purchases routinely take 90-180 days, but that's fine by me.

Just thought I'd share some recent success I had with Shop and Not Earn (and thinking I'm giving up from here on in).

Situation - had bought a new Apple MacBook Pro through the portal. Have done this multiple times with no issues (except the super slow posting of points).

This time did not even get a pending notice.

Emailed Virgin and got: 'Don't worry pauly7, Apple no longer notify us of purchases so we don't send out pending emails anymore. Your points will post in X weeks (yea right, times that by 10 and I'd believe it!)'

Waited, points unsuprisingly didn't post. Emailed Virgin again and got 'Please send your purchase information'. Did that.

No response.

Emailed 2 weeks later and asked what was the go. Virgin replied a week or so later 'We are still looking into this please wait another 2 weeks'

No response.

Emailed 3 weeks later and asked what was the go. Virgin replied a week later 'There is no record of your transaction on our site I'm sorry no points for you'.

I replied instantly saying it was their problem, I did everything as per normal. Virgin replied 'I'm sorry you must have done it incorrectly or not shopped through our portal at all and then spelt out very *helpfully* how to use shop and not earn'. Probably the most condescending email I have ever had from a customer service centre ever.

I replied instantly thanking the Virgin rep for accusing me of lying and trying to deceive them and pointed to the 5 other transactions from Apple that I had somehow managed to use their portal correctly for as proof that I wasn't as stupid or devious as they were implying.

A week later I got an apology letter from a supervisor at Virgin saying that due to the time it had taken to respond they would give me the points anyway.

Although I got the points I have to agree this program is more trouble than it is worth.... I only follow up on principle...

Based on recent stories, I'm glad I didn't bother... Just got my iPhone 5/iPad Mini's on contracts. When I crunched the numbers (Outright Purchase vs Contracts), I came out on top doing the contracts....

I made two double points, Apple store purchases on Friday and none are pending yet. I am sure I will be chasing this down when the points don't arrive! why is it usually always the Apple store....maybe entering membership number at shopping partners website would be a better solution that works.

I spent a large sum of $$ on some clothes and homewares with the recent double points promotion.

One retailer was offering 14 points per $1.

This was on Tuesday 25th June, every other time I had purchased items, I would receive the "Pending" email and the "Pending" transaction would show on the shop and sometimes earn website by late the next working day.

This time, nothing, no email, no pending status showing

I emailed through the shop n earn website and received a reply stating that my purchased have been recorded successfully against my account and that I should see the points in the next 60 days.

This is the first time I have had a problem, so hopefully the points just come through

It seems that there may be a problem with points not showing as "Pending" anymore ????

As this is in excess of 10k points, I do want to see them in my account
