Velocity Shop and (NOT) earn

It's only actually pending for the Apple care purchase not the separate Macbook air purchase so we will see.
I take that post back, just got a pending email now. Good work Velocity shop and earn.

Hi everyone, whats the best email to contact Velocity about this issue? I bought a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud through the eStore and no pending transaction has come up. Sent an email using the general feedback form but have got nothing back but an automated response.

Okay, this is going to be fun sorting out. I purchased 2 items on 28/06/2013, a Macbook air and then Apple care, they were separate transactions. This was also a double points promotion. Apple doesn't seem to issue invoices until the item has shipped, so the Apple care came up shipped later that day and the Apple invoice was available on Apple's order status page later that day as well, I know this as I tried to print both items once purchased but there was some message saying they would be available once shipped. The pre GST cost for the Apple care was $253.64 and 739 points are pending on the Velocity Global estore.

I got shipment notification of the Macbook Air yesterday and the invoice became available to print yesterday as well. I got a notification of purchase today from Velocity saying that Apple notified them of my purchase on the 2/07/13. The pre GST cost was 1,590 and I have 3,180 points pending on the Velocity Global estore. The damn apple invoice shows as 02/07/13 as well!!!

So it doesn't appear I have received correct points for Apple care purchase and double points are missing for Macbook air purchase courtesy of Apple who has also created a problem with the invoice being issued in the new tax year.

At least the order status shows as 28/06/2013 for both transaction on Apples page so that will help in the fight in getting my double points.

It's only actually pending for the Apple care purchase not the separate Macbook air purchase so we will see.

My points from apple rarely show up correctly as pending when I buy multiple items, or customised computers (usually the pending points are for one item, or the base product only) and then when they post they are correct.

If not, follow up and it'll be fixed.

Seems I spoke too soon.......

First email reply from Velocity a few days ago "Your points are pending, and will appear in your account in 60 days"

Last night another email "We need your proof of purchases to validate your claim"

I can see this rubbish going around in circles

I will send them the proof or purchases with a link to a relevant ACCC document, that should speed up this pathetic process

Disappointing, but then sometimes it's the only things companies understand.

I gave up on this shop and (not) earn a long time ago.

As you previously said that you hadn't had a problem before, it seems awfully rash to be throwing out the old ACCC don't you think lovestotravel?

You know we are here to help the AFF community, so if you'd like to PM the details, I'm more than happy to look into it for you.

Not at all rash!

Previously points had shown as PENDING in 24 hours, in fact EVERY OTHER TIME

This time, nope which was why I sent the email

I'll post what happened this time to explain why the ACCC will be mentioned in my next email to Velocity

Email response 1:
"Your points are pending, and will appear in your account in 60 days"

Subsequent response:
"We need your proof of purchases to validate your claim"

I haven't emailed yet, but why the sudden change from PENDING to we don't believe you or want to allocate the xx,xx_ points to you.

As I said I will email the receipts to Velocity and see what they say, I shouldn't have to chase up on here what's happening

I am going to follow the correct process and see what happens

If the points are denied due to an excuse (which I see happening) that I wasn't logged in, or my computer wasn't accepting cookies etc I WILL be contacting the ACCC in regards to misleading and deceptive conduct, false and misleading claims and anything else I think is appropriate to this.

As a recommendation, the Shop & Earn store is great, but instead of relying on cookies and the like, the retailers involved should simply have a section on their payment/checkout page where you enter a promo code OR your FF number so that the process of obtaining points doesn't fall apart.

Wether it is Velocity shop and not earn or partner deals such as 1000 points for every 10,000 transferred into virgin super they just can't seem to get it right!! Every time it's failed and doesn't show up or shows up and no point allocated or someone else is to blame and you leave a few remarks on the virgin Facebook page and oh wow it's a miracle that its fixed so quickly. Why is it that velocity only act on posts but phone calls never get acted upon??? Btw I'm waiting for my points for 6 months from the virgin super transfer deal...called a few times and still no action...see you on Facebook soon :-)

So I purchased something on Ebay, as the retailer wouldn't see to me directly (I HATE Ebay so always try to deal directly with the seller) the PENDING points went up in 24 hours.

However my 2 big shops, and my email with the tax invoice have had no reply.

As it turns out I didn't mention the ACCC in my email, but as it's coming up to 1 week and no reply I am going to send a follow up email asking why I haven't had a response.

I don't know how long will take overseas supplier transaction pending, the website states within 5 working days, however it's almost two weeks and nothing shows up.

Late to the party, but just to say: the only Partner I've had problems with getting the points sorted is Apple. To be honest - I can't say for certain if its me (with previous Apple ID and purchasing history etc etc) or the VA Shop-and-earn site (SAE), but the first time (early days of the SAE), I did a big Apple purchase via SAE and it lost tracking and nothing. Fortunately I had browser history I screen-shot and gave a full account, and 'Sunny' at [[email protected]] got it sorted and I got my points, but took a while; my second Apple Store purchase also borked, but learning from previous I kept screenshot records etc etc, and this time Sunny fixed it in a flash. Other store purchases, like The Iconic and eBay have shown up straight away. Like I said, it might just be my prior history with Apple overriding the SAE tracking, or maybe the Apple Store overriding SAE generally, I don't know - but in each case of 'an issue', VA has honoured the transaction and credited the due points after lodging a DOCUMENTED query.

Note that different stores approve/credit points in their own good time - it's NOT VA's problem!! There are some good points bonuses to be had!

Like aplmac I've had problems with Apple, but Sunny seems very capable of resolving them.

I think you may be right about prior tracking cookies though.

I now use a browser I never use (Chrome) and clear all cookies. I then go to SAE, log in, purchase and I am pretty sure since then everything has "just worked".

My guess is, if you don't do that, some other link you clicked months ago takes the referral commission...

I flush and purge regularly (and for my sins, am a independent Mac support person), so my feeling is it looses the plot when you put in your Apple ID...

I am also about to give up. I keep on chasing points. Bought an iMac and a thunderbolt cable in one transaction. Thunderbolt cable got credited (well... at least it shows the points are pending - 2 months now) but the iMac is still missing. Obviously filled in a claim. Received 3 times the same request for proof of purchase, cost, date etc. THREE TIMES!! In the mean time nothing happens.
Flew to Johannesburg in August, with SIA. Velocity number on boarding pass. Still chasing the points. Return flight SIA on 30/8 already credited. Do you get it?
On return flight issues with bagage allowance. I am platinum VA so can have additional luggage. Showed membership card which clearly shows expiry date FEBRUARY 2014. Sorry, it is not in the system. Here is my membershipscard, see expiry date. Sorry, it is not in the system.... Grrr.... I feel very embarrassed when that happens.
Ofcourse no lounge access either (VA/Singapore Airlines, but partner lounge) so used Priority Pass from AMEX, which was not a problem. How easy is that. Finally something that works.
Seat selection a nightmare - so I do agree - not to fly SIA on VA metal. It is all very complex.
I really like Virgin, but I am about to lose it. Emailed RETRO, emailed VB Admin, messaged VVF and via social media: asked for a solution and to allow Velocity to start with a clean slate. Still no reply.
Agoda points still missing. You really need to track everything - too much effort - not enough service.

Maybe it is not a bad thing to take this a step further.
When I was Krisflyer Gold it was definitely easier.

I do appreciate family pooling - please refresh my mind again... what would others do?

I like to be loyal.
Been loyal to SIA for over 12 years and have been GOLD with SIA that long. Now Platinum Velocity since 1.5 years (switched my frequent flyer program) but have doubts.

My 76 y.o. mum decided she wanted "to get with the times" and asked me to buy an Apple iPad Air 16gb cellular, which I've just ordered thru SAE @ 4 points/$1. They had free engraving, so put her initials on it, and free shipping. She will be happy and I will be happy if I receive 2,720 SAE points plus Amex points.

Did a few screenshots along the way and didn't enter my Apple ID.

I have 2968 points pending from Apple shop purchase last Friday, so very happy.
I am a big user of eStore, purchased from Adairs yesterday, had an email and points showing as pending already.
I have not had the same joy with eBay,I have made many, many purchases with ebay in the past with no problems and quick to post as pending, but there has been nothing showing since this recent promotion. Anyone else having the same issue, I am confident it isn't my fault!

Have you received the email showing the pending points from the Apple store purchase? How long before you received it?
