Velocity Shop and (NOT) earn

I find the success rate with Shop & Earn seems to have a lot to do with browser compatibility and security settings. Not long after Win8 came out it took months for me to get the point to come through.

Thats the case with a lot of rebate sites, which of course is what shop and earn is. The whole browser thing is becoming increasingly broken, with many sites not working properly in one flavor or another, all in the name of marketing.

I purchased an iPad and cover from Apple. They were purchased in the one transaction, however they were shipped separately. The points from the cover credited, the points from the iPad didn't. Only issue I've had and have purchased through the site on several machines/browsers.

Points from a purchase I made at the end of November last year finally came through over the weekend. Still got outstanding (but approved) points from Dec to hit my account.

Hmm, I've still got Estore.com.au points pending from November. For December I'm still waiting for Hard Yakka, Appliances Online and Apple.

I'm still waiting on point from Macy's made late Nov and Appliances Online made late Dec. Both still "pending". There's no reason why these should have both been approved and in my account by now.

An eBay purchase made early Dec has been approved and the points deposited to my account.

Absolutely nothing from Virgin to indicate why this is happening. According to the website it should be 30 days max for the entire process.

Hi VFF, is there still a problem with eBay posting pending points? my ebay purchases from 5/1/14 and 14/1/14 still do not show as pending as per my post on the 16/01/14 which your confirmed there was a problem with the below post.

Hi guys,
We are currently experiencing an issue with eBay posting Pending Points to members accounts.
We expect all Pending Points emails for eligible purchases to be sent in due course.
Thanks for your patience.

I know there is a bonus promotion going on at the moment, but I have recently had an Apple purchase appear as pending on eStore as being worth almost 140,000 points. I can't recall making a $35k Apple purchase lately; but will gladly accept the points if credited (will over compensate for transactions that never appeared due to cookie issues over the years) lol.

What about post 347 VFF? is ebay posting from your statement on the 17/1/14 still a problem;

Hi iambents, would you mind sending me your Velocity number and the Apple transaction date via private message? Thanks.

I seem to have issues when the double promos are on, my eBay transactions don't seem to track.

Have contacted velocity to have the transaction manually added, which they did last time.

I made a purchase 2 days ago on ebay and it has tracked correctly. I'm quite surprised.

Yeah I made a bunch of purchases over the past week and they have all shown up within a few days. Did have some issues back in December though.

I've been spending a lot on shop and earn recently. Apple transactions take a week or so to be acknowledged. Adairs seems to be very quick, as does Menulog.

Posting to the account however is random. Up to 3 months at times, but i've never not had my points post.

I've been using eBay a bit during this promotion, noticed some work supplies are actually cheaper on eBay than I can get from my suppliers. I also just bought a new bicycle, and while they have a proper on-line shop they also have an eBay store... guess where I bought it from? :)

Same here - made two separate purchases on ebay over the weekend and received e-store emails for each one within a couple of days.

Mine have usually always posted except for the early period of January 2014 which I posted about below and the VFF acknowledged there was a problem in a reply post. Wonder when they will come through?

My purchases never work from Surfstich or thenile.com.au but work on booktopia or apple - using the same process, browser & computer. When I try to claim the missing points, I just get the form email back from velocity telling me I didn't go through estore. I frustrating being told I didn't do something when I know I did.

Looks like some of the more popular retailers (e.g. apple, ebay etc) are down to $1 = 1 point. I always thought it was $1 = 2 points? :(
