Velocity/Virgin websites are RUBBISH

Anybody else having this problem?

have a couple of J flights coming up this weekend - had already selected my seats previously and thought I might have look to see what other seats were available - On the "Manage my Booking Page" everytime i click on one of the links in the top row none of the links work ... the bottom row links seem to work fine opening another window.

Have tried this in different browsers on 3 different devices (desktop, laptop and tablet) still the same issue.

Although its grey'd (gray?) out, I can click on Manage Seating and change/select seats.

hmm maybe it is something to do with that particular flight or booking :-| - if that is the case, a popup notification would be nice Virgin Australia!

My booking is a domestic flight for Fri 23rd Dec

mine is domestic as well - return Coolangatta to Melbourne this Sat and Sun.
No big deal I guess, just another bugbear to report for the website :-/

An example of how inadequate the VFF website is.

My wife has a SYD-LHR return itinerary where the SYD-LHR sectors were booked as VA award flights operated by EY and the the LHR-SYD sectors were separately booked as SQ award flights on the SQ website.

I needed to to shift her flights by a week.

On the SQ website I clicked on the "manage my booking" option, indicated I wanted to change the date of the flights and selected the new LHR-SYD dates keeping the same flight numbers. The SQ booking retained the original booking reference number and there was no charge for the change...simple!!!

For the VA booking, it required phoning the call centre who cancelled the original booking with a $60 cancellation fee and then re-book the new flights with the same flight numbers as the original booking and ended up with a $30 extra tax charge.

At least you got into your survey - I had one for a flight I took on Monday (and it did say it was valid until today for completion) but it wouldn't load the page....the white screen of death appeared multiple times, so I deleted and moved on....

And heres another tip for the Virgin IT guys, if you're going to a survey of your customers about their experience booking and flying VA then perhaps it might be a good idea to create a survey that dosen't crash and become unresponsive 15% of the way into collecting the information? They have been teaching our kids in Year 9 how to create online surveys in their IT classes, surely its not too much to expect that VA or their IT contractors should be able to do the same thing?

I've been trying to book a hotel using the agoda link on the Velocity website for the last hour. It keeps telling me that the page can't redirect and that it might be an issue
with my browser not accepting cookies. All of my browsers accept cookies just fine but none of them can access agoda through Velocity. Very disappointing.

The Velocity and Agoda partnership ended some weeks back. That's probably the issue, but they should have removed the link completely.

Must have missed this new bulletin.... the new hotel booking system via Virgin Australia holidays seems OK at least.

It would seem that I have the pleasure of a new feature - each page of the booking process now only half loads and needs to be refreshed in order to continue.

Using Chrome incognito (because I can't be bothered clearing my cookies, which seems to be the only way to get the website to work when not incognito). I've been chasing SC but wouldn't the average Joe on the street just decide this is all too hard and book elsewhere?

I tried logging into the velocity website and was told the membership number was wrong. I used the retrieval method for the number using my email and it came up in an email as the same as what I had entered. I then tried to use the forgot password and was told the email details were wrong, but it can't be since they'd just emailed me!. Anyone having trouble logging in the velocity site?

Just logged in and it was working fine

Had to change a seat allocation on a March flight yesterday - there was a change to a domestic US flight on my itinerary and when the re-issued e-ticket arrived, I noticed my PER-SYD sector had been swapped out from an A330 to a 737 (boooooooo). Flying J, so not very happy about that :( . Anyway, changed my seat allocation on that flight, came up with the option to have the itinerary resent, OK why not - "Success, your itinerary will be emailed to you shortly" ... and I'm still waiting. The VA site has been hideously slow the last few days as well, although at least I have - eventually - been able to retrieve my booking.

Not to mention the dog's breakfast my itinerary (booked through VA) has turned into yet again on the DL site as it seems the VA and DL systems don't talk to each other properly and I now have THREE flights LAX-SEA showing for the same date when I bring the booking up on the DL site and still the previous e-ticket number, not the re-issued one.

If you haven't done already put a complaint in about the PER-SYD aircraft downgrade you'll be given points as compensation (30k I believe).
