Vinomofo Wine Deals

A bit hesitate, the A/V is 13.5% while the 2011 is 14.6%, so would only share a case with a workmate at this round.

I'm a bit hesitant as well. This looks like a very different wine to the 2011.

I'm quite put off by this:

'There’s a hint of aniseed on the finish'

This doesn't appear to have been mentioned in the tasting notes for the 2011 and I detest aniseed.

From the Glenlofty website description of their 2011 Shiraz.

Not sure of your point. Liquorice and Aniseed are similar but NOT the same.

'Liquorice, or licorice, (/ˈlɪkᵊrɪʃ/ lik-(ə-)rish or /ˈlɪkᵊrɪs/ lik-(ə-)ris)[SUP][2][/SUP] is the root of Glycyrrhiza glabra from which a sweet flavour can be extracted. The liquorice plant is a legume native to southern Europe, India, and parts of Asia. It is not botanically related to anise [aniseed], star anise, or fennel, which are sources of similar flavouring compounds.'

Agreed ... but when it comes to describing flavour they are similiar, and the VM marketing dept have a habit of changing things around so the description of the wine is similiar but not the same. :)

The 2012 Glenlofty shiraz scored <85 in the RMWS, whereas the 2012 shiraz-viognier scored a big boy 96. By my logic we should be on the look out for the Glenlofty 100% Viognier 2012 release!

'Something BIG is landing. You'll want some credits in your mof_ account...Thursday 30th July‏'

Should I be even remotely excited?

Ok, email received at midday re: Glen Lofty shiraz 2012. Didn't get the 2011 so going to give it a go.

SO the Glenlofty is a BM deal and some of you received emails informing you??? I didn't get any email, I also didn't get the last VIM email but am still on the list?? Hmmm something is not right.

Have you gone to the site - it is still available

Yes, a BM deal for the Glenlofty.

I don't think I am making myself clear. Some are reporting that they received an email on the Glenlofty, and I didn't get such email, I also didn't get the last VIM email so I am just clarifying before I tear shreds off them ;)
I am not interested in the 2012 until I see some credible reviews, I have 3 cases of the 2011 and 3 cases of the Shiraz Viognier 2012, so I am good :)
