I was considering booming on the Botham Merrill Wills shiraz (using the BIT40 coupon of course!) However, i did a random search on the wine & it looks like it's being sold at the ridiculous price of $28.90 per six pack with free shipping on Catch. The 2013 Cab Sav is going for the same price. The Geoff Merrill Botham Shiraz and Cab are unavailable to my area from Catch already but managed to grab the shiraz from mydeal. Now to wait to see if it’s honored. Only a couple of cases for me hoping to slip through the cracks

I have little faith in VM outside their own site, and even less in MyDeal (expect a LOT of spam). Not going there. The fact that MyDeal was posted on OzB is the kiss of death and potentially increases the chance that Catch orders will also be impacted. Less is more right now.

Worst case; the sales are void and all monies refunded to me.
Best case; my cellar is stacked for less than a few dollar bills.

We’ve run with the GSM from this vineyard before. Here’s the straight grenache from this historic Eden vineyard. And our winemaker has gone to great lengths to ensure this bottle is something special. Ceramic eggs, extended time on skins and whole bunch pressing has coaxed out the finest of tannin profiles and wonderful structure. There’s aromatics, spice and dense fruit contained within. Heady stuff for sure.
