If you are talking about the Mitolo, some are leaving the VM warehouse in Premium BM Shiraz Line Up 1.0.Hm .. wonder what they do with the well travelled rejects ??

Mine is going back, had better wine for half the price from the Fo...
If it was $10-$12 bottle then I'd be more likely to keep it, but this one has been one big disappointment to be honest.

. JH may have given it a 94, but that was probably after he drank all the four glasses available for testing.
And then, here's something a bit odd. There's a JH 94 point shiraz, $30 down to $13.90, and I'd have assumed it was this one.

What's remarkable is that the winery is claiming a $50 RRP. That is $20 more than either VM or Halliday say is the RRP.
Of course I may also be wrong. VM say it's Barossa Valley, and Eden Valley is, well not Barossa Valley (but it is Barossa Zone, and VM are not known for their exactitude are they?)
Unlikely to be Glen Eldon, I thought this one was the McGuigan Shortlist again, with a slightly different price, but gave up on the wine companion site for a wider check due to too many 500-internal server errors.
Ah well, that could be true -- they do say that it's one they've had a previous vintage of. Cheers Red.
Thursday I'm going to try my first Mitolo. Friends who are coming on the Clare tour are staying with us so I'll get a few opinions. Regardless of what the RRP is, if its worth what I paid, I'll keep it.

I agree, for a $20 wine its quite good and worth keeping.
Night three for my bottle and it seems to keep improving.
I've enjoyed it all three nights, the flavour has changed but I don't think any one night was "worse". I don't think I'd leave it open that long. I've left it in the bottle with the lid on when not in use. I'm a little sad there is only one glass left (lucky I'm home alone!).Do you think it's worth leaving in an open decanter for a couple of days before drinking?
OT but is there a correlation between quality and longevity after opening ?
Aksherley I took 3 days to finish mine ( a tad unusual) .
It was , IMsnHO ….best on day one breathing in the bottle for a few hours and chilled a tad.
Day two it was a bit ragged ( left with the cap screwed back on ) but drinkable
Day three was quite rank , only one glass left so finished it as penance for buying it in the first place
