Vinomofo Wine Deals

I read that, but I was wondering when it came about? I've never received an email from Vinomofo about it, but judging from my account icon I'm at gold level. I just wondered if it's new, couldn't find much about it anywhere, thought there might be a thread, you know, being a tier/loyalty scheme on this site :p

10 days now and not shipped. I contacted them today and they claimed the items haven't yet arrived at their warehouse. I'll be contacting them everyday until it ships.

UPDATE: I did contact them again this morning. I was told that they now have the items and they will be dispatched soon. Then got this email:

"Hi David,

This is just a quick update on your outstanding order!

We’ve had an unexpected delay which affected this small batch of wines, so unfortunately this delivery is running a little bit late!

Your wine will be dispatched in the next couple of days!

If you would prefer to cancel your order and receive a refund, please just reach out to our lovely customer service team either via email [email protected] or on 1800 663 419 and they will get this sorted for you!

To further apologise for the unforeseen hassle

we’ve added a $15 apology credit onto your account

and that credit will automatically apply to your next order with us.

Once again we’re sorry for the delay, but we promise

the wine is worth the wait 🍷

Cheers,

The mof_ Team"
UPDATE: Item still hasn't shipped. Been 14 days since purchase. I contacted them again today (for the 4th time). Was told it would ship today. Given another $20 credit for the delay. Total of $35 credit now issued.

Is there any code? I want to buy Thompson Estate Chardonnay 2023. Or is it any good char recommend?

<see here: Vinomofo Referral Offers >
And it is a very good Chardonnay for the money, although a tad young.

As Vinomofo's 12 Recyclings of coughmas continue has anyone seen anything at all worth buying?
Just for something a bit different to my usual fare - I rather fancy this Hunter Shiraz

It is being https://hungerfordhill.com.au/collections/shiraz/products/classic-shiraz-hunter-valley-2022

Sounds like more summery wine for this warmer weather when a heavy SA red is likely to be overpowering.

JH 95 points and won some Gold

Flavoursome, gorgeous and supple, bursting with dark cherry lavours.Approachable and sweet-natured, yet with a serious core beyond the facade. Contemporary, energetic and vibrant, with mesmerising length
and regional character. You can slip it into any occasion and it will read the
room.

Does it really matter.....really.....there's 35 bucks as a free bee, free delivery too if you pressed them, all the more to buy the Patritti SBV 2021 that I mentioned a few weeks ago. A few came on and gave it a mediocre score, well to be honest they dumped it badddd, michael jackson bad, which was enough to question me waxing lyrically about it in the first place despite the fact that it was not coated with wax like the Warramate Vic Cabby is. I did buy 2 lots of 6 because to me at $13 a bottle as the second purchase, I like a bargain. Everyone loves a deal but I don't care if a wine is $3.13 or $6.16 like the Patritti Sparking Shiraz i picked up from grays, and hence this buy, this wine is soup herb.
So what have i gained from this this ? At the second tasting to question myself, we basically inhabit different taste worlds.
Nothing more, nothing less. The SBV for moi is fantastic.

It does to me. Travelled to the US on the 20/12. Ordered the item on 29/11. I never would have ordered if it wouldn't have been delivered before I left as I'm away for 6 weeks.

In the end because they failed to ship in time to be delivered before I went OS, I cancelled the order.

So now $35 credit plus a full refund.

So today I got this email from VM informing me of the best Shiraz deal they have ever done - see below.
"ForTODAY ONLY , we’ve brought back

his is your LAST CHANCE
t o snap up our
BEST SHIRAZ DEAL EVER!
From who Robert Parker described as

, comes one of Australia's truly great wines
at a truly ridiculous price.

This is the BEST shiraz deal we have ever done."
Well, they either have issues with math or extremely short memory or perhaps a strange interpretation of the word "best" as I have purchased (and have subsequently returned) this wine for $39.99 a bottle ($10 cheaper) during their Black Friday sale.
I have a receipt to prove it.

Is there anything wrong with this wine for you to return it?

I just didn't like it. It was very tightly wound on day 1 after some airing with the tannins overpowering the fruit making it hard to drink even with a steak. Day 2 it got a bit better but still not as outstanding as the Robert Parker review would describe it.

Maybe it had some heat damage or maybe it is just the style but I couldn't see myself enjoying it.
