Re: Velocity Amex -110,000 POINTS, return free flight,4 lounge passes, travel insuran

My extra 30,000 also arrived today following a phone call on Monday. I wasn't asked to send a screen shot although I did say I had one.

You should also see a referral bonus, my application was approved a day or two ago

Thanks Steady. I'm a bit worried about the posts above that state no referral bonuses have posted since 1 July. I hope that gets fixed soon!

Re: Velocity Amex -110,000 POINTS, return free flight,4 lounge passes, travel insuran

I might just bump my referral link in case someone is yet to grab a card and I'd obviously love the extra points. Thanks in advance :)

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

The points will post to you and your referee straight into both your accounts, no need to do any transfers.

I'm happy to do this but how do I transfer the points to you?

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

Can confirm , my wife got her 100k points (no referral link used), but no referral points received yet

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

Ok, so they just share Velocity numbers and transfer over to the other account. Takes up to a couple of days.

But KPC wanted to split the 20k bonus points so they got 10k..

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

I haven't applied yet... and no I don't need anymore PM's offering me referral links...

But do you have to hold the actual card to refer someone? I was hoping to refer the wife but only hold the Plat Edge.

While I'm at it.. what do people think is the best use of the 110k points?

Yes you have to hold the actual card.

The best use is a Business class redemption on Virgin or Etihad or transfer them to SQ Krisflyer and redeem them for business class flight. That'd make the points worth about $5k!!

Perth to Europe is around 110k points one way business as a guide for you.

Hi All. Help the idiot here, I have NAB Amex/Visa, am I eligible? If so, are the links still valid for the 110K pts? Thank you.

FIFOSuit - yes you should be given feedback from others. I can tell you that an existing Amex issued card still received the points

If you need a link search for mine - its special!

$5k sounds a little high. I personally value velocity point airline redemptions anywhere between 1.5c-3c per point which in any case makes this a ridiculously good sign-on bonus..

Best use IMO would be to save up to 188k points and redeem a return J ticket to LAX on VA or 250k and redeem return J to Europe on EY.

I have the ability to give my card the hiding it deserves but at 0.5 PPD it will take some time to get it to 250k.
I'm going to transfer to SQ and build on my Citi points. Suites are in my sights.

Re: Velocity Amex -110,000 POINTS, return free flight,4 lounge passes, travel insuran

I friend told me they appklied for the 110k deal and hit $500 min spend and 80,000 points have been added to their account. It was supposed to be 110k points for $1000 spend.

I suspect the glitch is that people who applied for the 110k deal have been registered for the 80k deal. I doubt theyll automatically add the 30k when they hit $1000 spend.

Update, they had another 30k randomly added to their account even though they hadnt hit the $1000 spend yet.

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

When I get round to applying for this card, I will only use the link of the person who is willing to share 1/2 their referral bonus witb me..ie TF 10K velocity pts to my account; ) Feel free to PM me your link:)...that's the reality of supply and demand:)

Seems like a good suggestion KPC.

I wish to apply for the card so if anyone wants to split teh 20k please PM me their link

Does anyone have a phone number for the applications team? I have just tried TWICE in both Chrome and IE, and it gets "stuck" on the "what other cards do you have" page. Nothing else comes up, and it wont progress.
