I was concerned when they changed the bonus half way through the promo. Anyway, my points swept into my Velocity account today.

Applied last Thursday night, got SMS saying my card is approved on Friday. Got the card today. Very efficient. Now hopefully they will give me 110K points in 1 hit after my spend ....

On a separate note, this person used my referral link. On the 80k offer the referral bonus points would post very quickly after the person was approved for the card but I haven't had any referral points posted since July 1 (and no I havent reached my limit yet). Im thinking the timing of the referral points changed when the offer did (and may be related to this glitch of people only receiving 80k points when they applied for the 110k points offer). Has anyone received referral points since July 1?

I friend told me they appklied for the 110k deal and hit $500 min spend and 80,000 points have been added to their account. It was supposed to be 110k points for $1000 spend.
I suspect the glitch is that people who applied for the 110k deal have been registered for the 80k deal. I doubt theyll automatically add the 30k when they hit $1000 spend. As I said before, this is a very popular card and Amex are going to have many unhappy customers if the back end of their slick campaign doesn't work like they promised it would.

Rather than just posting a link I've taken some time to actually explain some of the features of the best credit card offer I have ever seen in Australia. Please support a long-time very active member of this forum rather than someone who signs up just to post a referral link!
I would think that AMEX may be do more about this problem if everyone called AMEX on their own behalf as that creates a look of a much bigger problem that needs to be dealt with quickly before it gets even bigger.
Send AMEX the screen print too if possible. or, they may ask for it to be emailed to the agent you speak to.
