Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

Considering booking ADL-SYD (DJ 401) and SYD-DRW (DJ 1351) or the same pairing back (DJ 1354 and DJ 444) in flexi to upgrade with half the points. Has anyone had any experience of the food service on the longer DRW sector? Is it indeed a 3 course meal?

Have a look in the trip report section, I posted ADL-SYD-DAR yesterday, had a cracking time!

I did that too but ADL/SYD was on a rogue. Have a look at my photos in july.

Just booked myself a J BNE-SYD... and now notice it's a 737-700 :( Have they had J seats fitted now or will I be stuck in an old Y+ seat?

I'm pretty sure the 700's got proper J seating now.

Has anyone experienced the Business service on DJ1421 SYD-CNS?

Traveling in October with Daylight saving in action and while it's times are afternoon (2:25-4:40), it is scheduled at 3h and 5 minutes.

Yes and all Cairns flights are meals as no J catering out of Cairns but I didn't get 3 courses only 2

So, that means yes to meals, but expect only the two courses.

(and all ex CNS catering is carried on the inbound.)

I was choking on the recycling of all the DYKWIA threads in this forum, and thought I'd try to stimulate some other conversation -- noticed @VirginAustralia retweeted this today:

I don't see any cheese plates there ;)

Has the removle of snacks after 20:00 been confirmed? I am looking at booking into this time if this is true!

Looks like they are still not dealing with the Gluten Free needs, which I find amazing in Australia
Agree. I put my nan in J MEL-CNS a month or so ago and she could hardly eat anything. I also rang a week before departure and was told you can't request special meals on domestic flights. However, apparently the CSM on board was very helpful and assisted with what she had available.

I was surprised that I could not request a child meal for my youngest sister in J!

Mrs F (gluten free) on SYD-BNE last night in J made herself a meal of 2 bowls of lettuce, some chips & some cheese from the cheese & crackers and some tomato sauce.....
