Mine appears to have reset rather than extended, I assume due to earning some SC during the challenge but not making the full 80.

I earned zip so far and got the reset and a classic "undefined" variable

Personally I would go Hertz, as Europcar prices and service always been sub par in my experience.

I submitted my request on the velocity for my hertz membership a couple of weeks ago, still hasn't updated on hertz yet, any experience from people who have selected it how long it takes to update?

I had hertz platinum a while back and ended up getting upgrades every time and lots of points for free hire. But that was 10 years ago. I hope they are still as good.

Have you checked your velocity membership web page for current status? I didn't get the email until about a week after my web page showed it as approved. Even then, it was late on the 14th day that it appeared there even.

I had attained the mandated 80 SC for Gold Discover on 10 Jun 2020 2021. My review data was 11 Jun 2020 2021. Nothing so far. The "My Status" section of Velocity shows as "Under Review"



However, the ribbon on the top of the website acknowledges the Gold status, the 100 SC flown etc

I still haven't received the Welcome Package (including Gold Card). The agent checked and said there had been an error in processing my account and she would escalate it.

Seems I didn't make the cut and have to try for Velocity Gold the long way....or just happily stay on QF Gold.

I couldn't phone them - settling in a new workplace, so didn't really find the time to call VA. However, I got an email yesterday evening welcoming me to VA Gold

So looks like they had to do a manual push to take my profile to Gold. I have all the qualifying SC for Discover Gold, but, too a bit longer I suppose.

Congratulations! I still haven't received my Welcome to Gold Pack. I can live without a card for now as there's a virtual one on the App and for obvious reasons I won't be going overseas any time soon.

But does anybody know if those baggage tags are needed to get priority baggage treatment?

No baggage tags not required for priority.
When you check your bags in, either self check-in or assisted a priority bag sticker will be printed (pending you being Gold or above or biz) for you to to attach to your checked in luggage.

VA are very solid on getting the priority bags thru 1st.
