Ways that hotels annoy guests

I personally LOATHE shower curtains and have not had one in any house since I was a uni student. Needless to say if there was one in a hotel I would run. Everyone is different but - for me- they don’t protect from flooding and I just don't think they can be cleaned well enough. You know… body bits stick to them. It’s me not you!
I had a bad experience once with a shower curtain. I was staying in a decent motel in the QLD. It was not a * property by any means, but a good enough place to rest for the night before we continued on our way. The motel had shower curtains in the bathroom. BOY! were those curtains were dirty! I went to take a shower after a rather long day and immediately skipped out, got dressed and went straight to reception. Politely asked if they could remove the curtain as it was filthy and had weird blackish-green bits at the bottom, which I later on, with help from Google found out to be mould or a kind of mould. The person at the reception did not understand me at first. They kept asking if the curtain rod or the curtain has come off. I said "nah nah, the curtain is super dirty, so can someone please have it removed, or move me to a different room please". Later the reception person came to the room to take a look at what I meant and realised what needs to be done. The curtain was removed within the next 10 mins or so.

flatten out like a pancake
This! was staying at a property in ADL. They had 4 pillows on the bed. It was a Queen room or similar. I had to stack 3 pillows to get the required height in the end. The pillows by themselves were fluffy and looked big. But the moment you lay on them, goes whoosh flat and it felt like my head was hitting the mattress. So had to stack 3 in the end, but woke up with a neck pain in the morning. Seems like no winning with this.

Very annoying that the whole world acepts digital credit cards, and even if the booking is done via the hotel's web site (as a member), they still insist on a physical card on checking. Don't carry a wallet anymore so no physical cards. Madness and very annoying. I'm not playing the game anymore. They can sort if out.

You could tuck a card into most phone cases?

And hire Car companies are the same. When I checked into a hotel in Melbourne last year the Hotel was adamant that the guy in front of me had to have a physical card and he said well I don’t. I don’t carry them any more. In the end they accepted it.
