No, that was $47 for SYD-MEL on JQ35.
OOL/MCY/BNE to SYD is $37 but mostly arvo flights unless you grab the 6.10 ex OOL
Ah ok, tiger also have a $40 fare to price match for JQ35

JQ35 booked, $36 thanks to the Price Beat Guarantee
Now I just need to sort out my BNE-SYD and MEL-BNE flights, and decide if I'm coming home Saturday night or Sunday.
Not that you have to fly with me but I'm down on QF507, spending the night in MEL (location undecided) and back on QF624 in the afternoon.
OK, I'll have a look at those flights tonight. We need to find out what drewbles has planned for his birthday celebration, don't want to spend $hundreds on a hotel room if we are out partying all night
(and no offers of a lift to the airport the next morning sorry; I don't expect to be in a fit state to do much but get up and find the closest café for a hangover-reducing breakfast).

Anyone thought of doing the double F lounge run, I wonder if they will check you in for the SYD-MEL leg when you checkin at MEL........
which flight is int mel-syd?
What sort of a host are you then?
Assuming one was to take you up on the offer of a comfy spot on your floor, what sort of distance are we talking for the cab ride to the airport the next day. It's not that I'm a tight cough, but I've just blown $10K on flights to take the family to the US in 3 weeks time
As nlagalle states, skybus. I'm around a 10 minute walk from Southern Cross Station (I live in the CBD). Failing that, i'm a few hundred metres from a tram which will take you the 3 or so stops to the bus station.
Of course two or three people sharing a cab will make it marginal (As skybus is $13 each and a taxi is around $45).

oops you're right. $16 one way (was factoring 2 x trips which are $26).Skybus is $17 and last time I got a taxi to the CBD it was closer to $70.
I remember one of these nights Ewing tottered out of Chateu Lawlass at about 4am and Bossreggie didn't leave at all...
ETA: and I can't be bothered trawling through this thread... who's on what flights from Mel-Syd in the morning? I'm still keen for a VA flight... someone mentioned a $66 flight?

Last taxi I took to my place was $50 on the nose, plus 10% for the stupid credit card charge (was a work expense so I didn't care). I'm right near docklands side of the city, so it makes it easy to get off from Citylink.
Try looking @ TT's website, then doing a price beat with JQ
I'm on DJ825 on that morning. Would you care to use my VA Lounge guest spot? (0845 departure)

I'm VA Gold, so lounge access not a problem, just want friends.
I did the TT price match on JQ35 ($25.something). They say you can only price match one way, but would they really know if I do another one for the Mel-Syd leg?

excellent. And if worse comes to worst I'll either get a last minute hotel or sleep at the airport
