Now, who's heading up from MEL that morning? I haven't booked my flight up yet and thinking of going DJ to I can try out the shiny new lounge.

I'm thinking about this - I had thought of taking the morning JQi flight up to SYD, but recently changed around my thinking to giving DJ a go.

BTW my room at the IC has been upgraded to a club room, so once the mini bar is gone the party will be moving to the top floor club (where its a private club after the freebies stop at 8PM), but its a cash bar with a view thats hard to beat:

Nice view but at the other end of town to where I am staying. I imagine I will be too tired/full to be partying on. Famous last words though.

Unfortunately all the DJ flights are pretty pricey unless going at stupid o'clock in the morning. Might have to stick with JQ or do a classic award up. Disappointed because I do want to try out the new lounge.

I am interested in this. After hearing stories about the last such 'big-group event' (and gatecrashing the end of it on my way to FFFNQ), I think it will be a good day/weekend.


Unfortunately it's a bit early for me confirm anything, as I don't know what's happening with work yet.Hopefully I can get a better picture of July's schedule in the next week or two and can then confirm.

For the newbies, I live in MEL, so if I am in Australia, I *should* be able to make it.

I'm flying up on DJ if you wanna come with me and you can see the new lounge It's a little OMGo'clock but still, the coffee was surprisingly decent last time I was there with QF009.

Would love to stay at the IC, but not sure $300+ for the night is appropriate for my weekend travel budget. Looking at the other ICH group hotels, none are standing out at good value.

The stars have aligned. To celebrate the Bank holiday long weekend, my friend (also WP) & I are doing the F lounge run, coming back on Mon on JQ3. Look forward to meeting some AFFers.

I'll confirm closer to the date if guest spots are open as possible other friends may be joining us.

I'm already booked on an early AM DJ flight MEL-SYD getting in well before midday.

Don't forget checkin for JQ 35 opens at (or around) 12 midday

So much procrastination on my part ... I really want to come along to this shin-dig, unfortunately the +1 won't be able to attend so if I come it will just be me.

So it would be BNE-SYD Sat morning then JQ35 to MEL, but then the question is do I stay in Melbourne to help drewbles celebrate his birthday or fly home to Brisbane that night?

If I knew we were going to be "celebrating" all night I could skip the expense of a hotel booking and spend the money on "celebrating" instead

The F Lounge just got cheaper with the JQ sale on, $47, I was not happy that my DD did not go through earlier in the week, looks like it save me some $$$, tiger have a $40 MEL-SYD that JQ will match for those doing a day trip!

Anyone thought of doing the double F lounge run, I wonder if they will check you in for the SYD-MEL leg when you checkin at MEL.........

No, that was $47 for SYD-MEL on JQ35.

OOL/MCY/BNE to SYD is $37 but mostly arvo flights unless you grab the 6.10 ex OOL
