If you are unclear about my (deliberately) unclear post, I'm sorry.
no, the reply was for Shanye2233; I'm quite happily enjoying this marvellous service offered by various companies at reasonable costs.

Yep. Read ALL the posts. I feel everyone's pain. This is VERY operator dependent. Some PO employees cannot/will not do this. I am typing this in the PO car park after having had a similar experience. I only got as far as I have other times because of the good work and persistence of others. Repeat: persistence pays
unclear what you're talking about or what you actually did. the exesssss card is an eftpos card, so it obviously won't work on line, or in person unless you select "Savings" on the terminal. it will definitely work if you go in, say "I'd like to pay this bill", hand them the bill, say you'd like to pay via eftpos, then pay via eftpos.
Regarding AusPost, I find that sometimes it is important to remind them that this is an EFTPOS card and essentially a cash equivilent. Be clear that you are using savings, not credit.
I have never had any trouble, just weird looks when using multiple cards at once.
Okay so I guess people have now found the missing link.
If you have excessive funds if you can find a willing participant they can help you increase your load and then you can go and control your withdrawal issues?
I don't know if I should be discouraged or whether your experience is isolated.
FWIW, I don't show them the XS card, I just say I want to pay amount x on EFTPOS / savings account. They tap on their computer, I swipe the card, press Savings, type PIN, press okay. A few seconds latter it is approved, then onto the next transaction.
