Westfield XS card

Sometimes my local post office can get really busy. Often when it is busy the staff seem to operate on autopilot processing bill payments very efficiently.

Sometimes I get confused about what card I should be paying bills with too.

I had just this scenario yesterday and it appears that I happened to use an XS card to pay a bill. Hmm.

Employees can't be expected to remember everything they get sent in a memo during a busy day, if they even get to see the memo, or care to read it.

That may well work in the short term, however I suspect that the ePos system will be updated soon to limit the transactions available.

Haven't read the entire thread but is the XS card literally accepted at any retailer that takes EFTPOS? Even say at Aust Post using postbillpay? Trying to avoid CC surcharges on a couple of large bills and they do take cash/cheque/EFTPOS with post. Or are there any pitfalls...

ok you're going to have to at least read the comments *directly above* yours

Oops! I opened the thread at page 26 and it was all about ID requirements and fraud prevention.... And did a 'quick reply' without going to the last page!

Hi so despite my previous comment I heard from someone who works at Westfield that they are going to try and block the card at the terminal. Get in while you can.

Keith, they don't work at supermarkets and Aus Post have put in place steps to stop them being used where its a financial service being paid.

I didn't know Coles had ever stopped taking them.

Looks like they are the main ones since they get a special mention on the Gift Card homepage

* Some retailers may choose not to accept the XS gift card.
This includes the Coles Group (with the exclusion of Kmart and Target) and Myer

I'm not aware of any but would like to know. I meant get Coles gift cards. A discount on xs would be great

What discount is on offer with xx_x for the XS?
Well, you may look it up on their website.

I think I'm leaning towards private forums for some of these discussions. It's one thing for companies to look at their internal systems and work out that a few are not quite playing the game as they planned it, it's another to lay out all the details for them and discuss strategies that they can then thwart.

I got a bunch of points from playing the game, but I'm miffed that steps are being taken to close the thing down. I still have a few thousand dollars out there in the breeze and if I have to spend them the regular way because I can't pay utility bills or swing them through another card, I'm not going to be the same carefree whistling down the street soul I was a few weeks back.

There is a certain level of enjoyment when you have a bit of a win when you are dealing with the bigger retailers. I did a starthere plus Woolies gift card (Rac sourced) to get a 5.25% plus 5% off Dan Murphy's specials last week. Now that was easy and I still remember the store manager at Dans saying " No one gets a discount here....not even me and I am the manager".
Game on was my immediate thought because it is a challenge!
As one door closes another one opens.

If I was a member I would,as the detail is behind a login screen while the public info says up to 5% across a range of cards, luckily a more helpful member has taken the effort to PM me the details, sadly it's not 5%.

I agree which is why when I had discovered this last year I never posted it. On the other hand posting that they are going to try and stop it benefits aff members by allowing them to reduce their risk by.not holding as many at once etc
