Westfield XS card

I agree which is why when I had discovered this last year I never posted it. On the other hand posting that they are going to try and stop it benefits aff members by allowing them to reduce their risk by.not holding as many at once etc

This is not the first thread on the subject, it first rose into prominence in 2011, however this is the busiest thread!

If I was a member I would,as the detail is behind a login screen while the public info says up to 5% across a range of cards, luckily a more helpful member has taken the effort to PM me the details, sadly it's not 5%.
Sorry if I gave the wrong impression there. I'm happy to be helpful, just not in public. Some details are best not aired on this googleable forum IMHO.

I know another private forum, but I refrained from discussing this aspect there because I was given the info in confidence. To see names named here makes my discretion pointless.

My opinion is that information is best shared with established contributors in private, rather than in a thread which is publicly searchable and has a good share of unknown lurkers, some of whom are doubtless committed to ending any schemes that go against the spirit, even if they comply with the letter.

All good, I was just trying to give the impression I was a cranky senior so they would let me in :).

Self service ATM's still working for Postbill and ATO payments under $1K?
Anyone used one in last week to confirm please.
Where was it located...PM me if you like.

Today's news: "Card declined".
Thanks for the note above. I was able to move a couple of cards in the last few days. I was using them "fairly" until then. But needed to move a few out quickly

Counter or Self service ATM?

Well there's your problem.

Yeah. Sorry. I didn't realise how rapacious people could be.

And to be fair there were people who "attracted attention" prior to this thread.

(Edit to add that last sentence)

Thats a big word for broken china! I nominate it for word of the day :)

It was a deliberate choice. One of the contributors to this thread went so far as to PM me about the meaning of a word. I think it was after I called him "querulous". It was then that I realised that if he couldn't be bothered looking THAT up for himself that I was wasting my time trying to help him with anything else.

It was a "swipe" transaction at a PO counter. At a PO where I can usually get things done with ease.

And another bit of info that might interest some velocity point collectors. Via spreets a certain web site is offering double returns for a couple of days. I haven't get explored that avenue so don't know how good a deal it is.

Definately this thread ruined it. The cards were out in 2011! 2 years later they decline the transactions.
Oh well I still can get heaps of free points :)

Yeah, I'm certainly not complaining - we are all fortunate with what we have/have gotten. Hope I didn't come over as coughy there, was meant to be more a verbal prod. There remain other ways but for myself I already had more than enough points and not enough time.

Hi,

If anyone does have a transaction declined can you please report:
1. Location
2. Bill you were paying
3. Denied by staff or by machine
4. Error message received if any

If we get a consistent pattern then we can abandon this for more fruitful endeavours :-) Sharing is caring and at this point can't hurt anyone

Won't publically announcing the places it still works allow those with an interest to stop it working from those locations?

I was assuming that it would be universal but I guess in the case its location by location this would be true.

I wonder how you used your XS card over the last two years. No matter if you told one person or ten, you will have contributed to its decline :(
