What cheeses me off

I had a male friend who used to ring providers and say it's Mary Smith (wife name) and they said what's your DOB and he reeled it off - he said they couldn't say I know you're not a female and used to get around things that way. He could answer any question they threw at him
Since MrsTMA has some hearing issues it gets annoying when “they” refuse to talk to me and want me to put her on the phone then ask her lots of security questions, which apart from DOB she has to ask me for the answers, yes, do that to get around the “privacy “ and now have just resorted to saying I’m her with companies and medical appointments etc. I can answer all the questions since I set up our and her accounts and for “privacy” reasons I don’t think now they can refuse to believe. :)

What is coercive control anyway! :)

Has she seen the movie gaslighting 😉

Mrsandye jokes about coercive control but in reality our division of labour (with one of my main duties running the money) means I'm still doing much less than she is

WCMO is lazy Sydney Bus drivers, whose actions lead to innocent people getting fined.

Boarded bus behind a senior gentlemen this afternoon at the first stop of route at Martin Place. Neither of us could tap on as driver had not enabled the machines, driver says said don't worry take a seat, free ride.

Somewhere along Broadway driver must have finally turned the payment point on. I was lucky that I looked up and noticed and was able to tap on from where I was sitting (on what was now a very full bus). 1 stop before I need to get off inspectors get on the bus and hand out fines to the older gentlemen and 2 others who got on near DJs (also before machine machine was turned on). I told the inspector the man had his opal card out and what driver said. Couldn't stick around, really hope they cancel the old guys fine.

Pathetic if the driver did not own up to the fact people on board could not tap-on. The senior gentleman may not have protested if they still issued a fine. He would no doubt have had a Gold Opal so no real advantage to attempting to avoid a fare. Pity you did not get the inspector's details and lodged a complaint. I watch every day the hoards of young people who do not tap-on and avoid paying the applicable fare. Most of them are in business attire and its deliberate fare evasion. Hopefully he knows how to, or someone assists him, to contest the fine.

WCMO were yesterday's drivers. First coming back from the PO. come to a 4 way intersection. 3 stop signs and I was on the road without a stop sign. Woman on the left came straight through the stop sign. Fortunately I had noticed her going a bit fast so had taken the foot of the accelerator otherwise Mrsdrron may have suffered a serious injury.

I then went to the supermarket. I was taking the trolley back to the trolley bay and this white Corolla is zig zagging down the road heading straight for me. A woman had her head down and obviously had dropped something. fortunately she looked up as I was about to propel the trolley in her direction and take cover between 2 parked cars.

I noticed that Woolworths specials this week are Pepsi Max 12 x 450mL bottles for $10 which is half price.

Went to first Woolworths where we shop regularly and the whole bottom shelf about 4 feet wide is empty.

Second Woolworths does not even stock them.

Of FFS why is it so difficult to have stock available of what's on special. There is no way I'd spend $20 on 12 x 450mL bottles but at $10 I'd buy 6-8 dozen. Anyway wouldn't expect anything better from these thieves.

With such specials, retail is less than what "milk bar"/Variety store proprietors can buy wholesale. So they raid the supermarkets.

WCMO ... work you've been doing, not having any appreciation shown until it's too late i.e., you've decided to move on from a client, and then they finally decide to provide some gratitutude. Too little too late IMHO ....
Ah yes, the joys of working for clients :( I'm living that dream(nightmare) at the moment, and I'm counting down the days to the end of the contract. They were surprised the other day when I declined to engage in discussions about extending the contract. I have better things to do with my life.

It's quite an interesting time of life when your financial demands are such that you can afford to only work with clients who bring satisfaction.

Thankfully I'm now working under the umbrella of another organisation which provides some coverage, and I have other work to roll onto. While the client is one issue, it's also other people within the organisation who keep coming up with 'good ideas' and mention them to the client who tries to insert them into the project. He's getting continually disappointed (and the good-idea fairies) when I keep saying no.

I'm counting down the days to retirement - planned for the end of 2025.

WCMO today is transport NSW and their Gold Opal card. Talk about going round in circles. Told the card has to be registered but for that you have to verify the supporting evidence but the drop down menu has only the NSW and ACT cards not other states. So you can't be verified. So went to just top up the cards. And there they do list the other states. All good but then try to top up online. click the link and you go back to the previous page.
So I decided to download the Opal App and could top up the card. But can only have 1 card on the App so now I can top up her card on my iPhone and my card on her Samsung.

WCMO Vic State Revenue Office. New outrageous land tax costs push me to set up monthly payment plans but their system will not allow two entities to have the same email address for a payment plan even though they send all valuation, assessment, warning and administrative notices to one single address. So I have to create a new email address and set up a separate payment plan for each entity/owner.

WCMOEM If a payment fails or a notice is sent they NEVER include any relevant information so you have no idea which property or entity they are referring to!!!

Double your hourly rate — compensation
If they accept good - you weren’t charging enough
If not - KTTTK (kick them to the kerb)

FYI @drron you can top up Opal (registered or not) at machine at any NSW railway station - just need the card and a debit/credit card.
