What cheeses me off

Unnecessary paperwork for people in your situation. I had a breast screen a few weeks ago and was asked to fill in details of previous scans, which would have been years ago. I took a stab at some of the dates. Got to the clinic and the receptionist called across the room to me - you said you had a scan in 2018 and 2016. All we can find in your records is 2017 and 2015. I confirmed I'd taken a guess at the year and wondered - why did I have to answer those questions when you already had access to all my records and had to check them anyway?
That is one of the things that really CMO - it's laborious and several pages - I've been probably 10 times and you fill out the same info. I can't understand why it's not electronic

I really don't understand why Cocaine Cassie gets so much airtime when her version of events and descriptions and names of people vary with the interview. I presume she is being paid well for these interviews. My interest is less than zero

. Well that’s how we work sir.. what a long and expensive process..

Don't worry, you can never do what makes sense according to your wishes, it needs to follow a process.

One fine Chicago morning I saw bag not being loaded onto my flight to Winnipeg (it seemed only every second bags was actually being loaded). Needless to say it didn't arrive on that flight or the next 3 flights that same day.

So the next morning, mid morning I arrive back at ORD. I go to lost luggage to find out what's happening. Guess where my bag is ? In ORD, behind the wall somewhere. Can it be retrieved before I leave at 6pm this evening? No. So off it goes to Winnipeg ... [nb: before airtags were a thing]

A convicted drug smuggler making money off interviews? How wonderful.

P.S. I've never heard of this story. Today was first time if I'm not mistaken. Spent 1 minute on quick Google search to see headlines. Have zero interest in what she has to say. Why people waste their time to glorify her is beyond my comprehension.

Agree
I thought you could not profit from a crime (legally) — maybe one of the AFFlegal members can comment.

Anyway enough of a rant, my satay has just arrvd.
A rant in context.

What really CMO is that she was born in SA and the local media makes it worse. Seriously. Such a total vacuous irrelevant part of anyone's life.

Sitting in a small hospital waiting room with a mindless conversation going on between 2 others. I can escape to stand outside, but not out of earshot.

Think yourself lucky they aren't on loudspeaker on phone 📲

Haven't got around to watching Monday's Four Corners about Sydney's toll roads, will do after getting my estatement today.

Yet another example of having to pay a video matching fee, phoned up to complain, all my fault they said, I need a unit in each car for the trips we do to Sydney, as I have 3 cars registered, yeah right, pay for 3 units and then I’m guessing they would hold 3 times 70 dollars each month of my money, not bleedin likely.

It needs to be attached to the windscreen behind the sun-visor and I was told that as the unit was on the dashboard and not behind a sun-visor, it can’t always be read by correctly. I'm calling bullsh!t on that.

We go to Sydney very rarely, one major reason that I can’t stand the place… :)

Granted, it's only 55 cents, but you multiply that for every time it is done across a day and how few times people will notice and complain, it would add up to a very sizeable amount.

Given the computing power available to them, I doubt very much it would cost more than a fraction of a cent to perform these searches.

Looking back through my previous statements, this has happened at least once every time we have gone to sydney.

So we have one unit, they hold $70 of my money each month, it gets topped up when it is used, which in it's self is a scam, guess they have all that money invested in a tax haven somewhere to pay huge bonuses. :)

I'll just put that company starting with a T into the same category as that other allegedly notorious tax avoiding parking company based in the Caribbean and try to avoid them at all costs, nothing but greed, greed and more greed.

WCMO is Real Estate Agents that call from a different number every few months after you have blocked the previous one, trying to convince you to sell your home to them even though you have no interest in selling to anyone and especially not them.

WCMO unplanned nbn outage (2nd one in 2 weeks after none for years). Talk to ISP they say can't log faults as nbn call centre is offline for maintenance.

Started at 11pm which is still considered peak usage period, off peak start at 1am.

No ETA for fix given on nbn site, not happy being forced to endure FTA.

So called professional cleans organised by Property Managers. Actually, Property Managers in general. As both landlords and tenants.

A professional clean was organised (well, demanded by PM for next tenant after our departure, our place). I'd cleaned it really well once all our gear was gone. Then when the tenant was booked in the PM said it needed a professional clean. Mmm. Not much choice. Happened to visit the apartment the evening before the tenant lease started as a last check. Professional cleans? Bollocks. I took photos of areas that still had some dust on them plus some now grubby finger marks on light switches presumably from the open inspections. He'd left all the lights on, we were still signed up. He'd Pulled back the curtains in the bedroom and opened the blinds. Why? He'd not cleaned them. And Not the best view as the BC refuses to clean the outside windows that owners simply cannot access without abseiling from the top apartment.

Asked the PM for how much the invoice was for. $275. 😳. They would have spent no more than an hour there, at most. I couldn't actually see anything they'd done. Other than the lights and curtains.

Have now replied to PM with pictures and suggest they discuss it with the cleaner, Jim's Cleaning, because I am challenging what he'd done.

I remember when we moved in to another rental. Previous owner lived there and everything was filthy sticky grimy. 🤮 to touch. Mould in bathrooms. She said it was going to be professionally cleaned first. It wasn't. I took so many photos and reported same on the prelim inspection sheet. When it came to lease end I had printed off all the pre photos. Left them on the bench with the report for the PM to see. Our bond was back within the week.

Even in the place we moved into last week. It is brand new so all fixtures are perfect. The PM report said it has some minor dust on the floor. Ha. The floors and windows and sliding doors and tracks? Thick dust. Took me three vacuums and mops to get that gritty feeling of the floors. And Mr P got the hose out to squirt down all the sliders and tracks. They now actually slide and not catch. There was mud running off them.

Did I mention that the day we moved in a couple of weeks ago that suddenly we had no water? Some beast had stolen the copper tap off an external tap in the common driveway and turned off the water. SA Water fixed it within the hour once they'd worked out the problem. We'd first called the property manager. She called back 24 hours later....I'd already told them that tap was at risk - not from being stolen but others using our water. Finally they put a security tap on it.

It usually isn’t….double whammy…
As a coffee lover, I'm not against paying over the average for the odd coffee. After all, coffee prices are continuing to rise and a skilled barista can make a world of difference. But if you're going to charge top dollar for it, then you'd better bloody deliver. As you say, all too often it's not only overpriced, but also adds further insult to injury through coughpy execution.
