What cheeses me off

Air Asia. No I don't want Tune protect. Try to pay 3 times and have issues and they mention come back another time.

Go in and do everything again, don't want tune protect, go to pay and amount has changed by a few MYR, pay and itinerary is sent. The amount in AUD looked wrong and I thought it was ANZ bad currency exchange.

Next day email arrives, welcome to tune protect. Argh....

^ Is that some sort of guarantee they won’t play hippity-hoppity music at you?
Like … if you don’t pay Air Asia for Tune Protect, they can’t guarantee that a man with a baseball bat won’t walk into your store & smash every - I mean, they can’t guarantee they won’t play hippity-hoppity at you for the entire length of any flight … ?

I saw something twice yesterday that I do not recall seeing previously.

Went to BNE airport and parked in Parkshort. Had 2 luggage with us and looking for spare trolley (note free) and saw a man walking away from his car to take trolley back to a trolley bay and a lady take a trolley back and actually took the time to put trolley back so that wheels are locked in place.

Smart carte must love these sort of people and hate me.

Why do we continue the practice of charging for a trolley at the airport? I don't think I've seen it anywhere else in the world. I'll continue using trolleys for free.

Mine is exactly the same and I'm on a Samsung S20. It frustrates me no end when the cursor keeps on jumping a couple of rows and when you press the backspace it jumps about 20 rows forward then I need to go all the way back up to continue. In some instances the whole post disappears and I have to go back to the main screen to go back to the topic to find what I have written so I can continue.
I have an S20 as well (backup to S10) and have no such issues.

There were some similar problems with my S10 a year ago but after I removed the glass protective screen cover the problems stopped.

As a supporter you dont see the copius ads that actually cause the issues on samsung android devices with Chrome.

When I had a paid membership I had no issues whatsover on any of the devices, problems only started when reverted to free membership (and i dont have any sceen covers).

A cynical person might conclude it is a deliberate tactic to drive more paid subscriptions.

It certainly worked on me. The page would jump up to the top multiple times while trying to scroll down, each time. I've never seen ads this intrusive (or just downright broken, if it isn't intentional) on other websites.

I have paid membership and it still does this to me but without the adverts thank goodness. I do have a screen protector on though so possibly that's one of the problems.

After a 20 month wait we bought a Kia Nero Hybrid instead of a Toyota Camry Hybrid. We left the Camry order running as it must turn up sometime.

I’m out of my comfort zone on new cars.
Was the Camry built 20 months ago and you are waiting on shipping/delivery, or is there a (min) 20 month wait for it to be built?

There was no Camry Hybrid after a 20 month wait from order date so we bought a Kia Nero Hybrid GT and that took one week, It was a Sydney work car and that delay was just too long.

It depends on the software they’re using … there aren’t that many different products for running discussion forums like this, and the expense/time to DIY wouldn’t be near worth it … so whatever’s going-on is due to whatever forums software AFF is using. There’s probably something saying what it is buried in some “info” page somewhere or maybe even the bottom of this page …

A lot of forums don’t choose to display the pop-up ads though, hence you could be browsing to all sorts of discussion-forums and not see those (and my theory is that it’s the pop-ups that’re not displaying properly in some versions of some browsers).

The latter; the supply-chain problem which has been around ever since that fire in the factory which makes a third of all the silicon chips which do something-or-other. It’s getting more under-control but there are still long wait-times on some things.
I’m not 100% convinced manufacturers are necessarily working that hard to totally fix it either … yes more widgets sold means more income & profit, but removing discounting from the sales of a widget such as a Camry probably means 3x the profit per vehicle ..

Went to the self serve register at Bunnings.

In large bold font on the screen it says “Card only”.

I attempted to pay using these:

Despite being cards, and having the word “card” printed on both the front and back, they are not accepted on “card only” registers.

Point of order, your honour; I do not see the word "card" on the front of that card.
The card is obviously not a card.
Can you prove it's not, in fact, a small flat plastic 4 year old child from Uzbekistan?

As an aside ... I've paid with one of those at the Card Only registers at Bunnings, a few years back! They've probably changed the way it processes stuff, for some unknown reason ...

Problem is any change above $10 needs to be refunded in giftcards. Can only be done at human registers (for last few years at least). Stops the potentially egregious laundering opportunity

Forgot my usb to power plug. You think an Ibis Hotel in Australia’s second largest city would have usb sockets in room, but oh no!
